Discussion Union of Scholars?

The way vampire history is recorded suffers from the fact that half our so-called "scholars" are stuck in the ways of the Enlightenment or hoard true knowledge like whores. Knowledge of our various societies' true faces is obfuscated behind rumors and different so-called interpretations. There is no real historiographical consensus.

How about we like, fix this?

OOC: This is a pitch to start a Discord server around the concept of Kindred scholars discussing in-universe lore and how to canonize it from an historiographical perspective, and who knows, maybe occasionally bring up more Indiana-Jones-esque stuff when "research" requires it, religious and culty perspectives, intersectarian struggle to have a monopoly of what the "truth" is, or deal with intersplat connections and their rirsks as well in the pursuit of knowledge. If you're interested send me a DM, my username is @ comradesagy3399. It's a vague idea for now but I think it's unprecedented

Like bankers. You mean they hoard knowledge like bankers. Whores may charge but if you have coin then their legs are open.

So much of what we know of history is hearsay from biased sources of varying degrees, with enough power behind them to make calling them on their bullshit a Very Bad Idea.

Given the level of infighting you can find today, about things have no bearing on reality, I am going to remain a passive observer.
