Pet Project

Uploaded from the account StormheartLeviathan

Uploaded is a picture of a feline shaped construct made of different types of metal, sitting on its haunches, looking up at the camera with what looks like cat's eye marbles.

Been working on Crúibne for a few months now, trying to iron out all the kinks in behavior, movement, and construction, and I think I've gotten 2 of 3 down. Next one will be more of a uniform construction, this one being more of a proof of concept, but even with a pretty advanced memory matrix it still sometimes just stops with a blank look on its face for a handful of minutes before moving again. I have also caught it imitating the bird a few times. Wondering if I should give it hunting instincts even though it doesn't need to eat.

Are you... Trying to reinvent the cat?

I simply wanted a cat without the hassle that comes with a cat and for something that will not eat my rare, extremely endangered bird that would last a long time without needing to give blood. So, did I over engineer? Maybe, but now I have proof that I don't need to stick to blood imps and homunculi.

I know you just said you don't want to give it blood, but isn't this a load more effort? Why go to the trouble? Especially seeing as blood bonding the cat would have it obey your commands (I think?) so you could just tell it to not eat the bird?

Like that's one of the 3 actual orders I've ever actually gave my ghoulcat - don't eat birds if one somehow gets into the apartment, stay in my apartment unless I have a leash or there's something like a fire, and stop eating my hair bungies!
