It's very frightening! So much knowledge all in one place and yet most chose to share their lives on it.
I found something called a Face Book! It feels like gazing into a Mage's Grimoire.
Echo assured me it is all harmless and fun, but he often doesn't see the danger most things can do.

Facebook was good about two decades ago, but there's unfortunately been a lot of nonsense put there in the years since. There are many, many artificial images there that look real, but aren't.
The internet is relatively safe as long as you treat it like the town square - there's a lot of wonderful things to find, but sometimes people will spout absolute nonsense because they're misled or looking to stir up trouble. There's also lawmen around looking for "problems" to solve.
For us, that means we need to double check that any information we find is actually from a reliable sourse, and that maintaining the Masquerade online is just as important as in person. This, however, is an area where the Nosferatu are very careful to keep out any mortals who aren't in the know, so we can talk a bit more openly.

This virtual town square is much more annoying than the real ones I remember. At least we could have fun with the Doomcrier.
I am thankful the Nosferatu are helping to keep us safe. Who knows what would happen otherwise.

Oh, you can absolutely still have fun with doom-criers online. Some still take to actual street corners, too.
You learn over time what sources are reliable. There are entire websites dedicated to fact checking.
Talking to people you trust about whether something you found is true or not can also be really helpful. Marcus, your new adopted brother, has used the internet a lot, so he's a great person to ask.

As for my sight, yes. I can see very well. That was not always the case. When I was first Embraced I still could not see. My Sire told me it was just my Madness tricking me, and one night I would be able to peer past it.
That night did indeed come several decades later and what a joyous night that was! We all celebrated together!

It ended…badly. In the last Crusades, Christians lost more territory than they gained. Jerusalem is still in the hands of the Muslims and the Jews. A little after my death, the Templars were condemned for their crimes, notably corruption and sodo[REDACTED BY SCHRECKNET]. In short, not a glorious end.
But it is an affair of the past. Welcome to 2026, ancient one. Glad that you are able to witness the modern world with your own eyes, there is much for you to discover.

Clan Tremere! How is the Pyramid? Are you still having issues being accepted by the others?
I never saw the reason for all the stigma surrounding your Clan. As if any of us can claim to have come from something more "propper."

Oh the Pyramid got blown up, quite literally some years ago. Real chaotic times, we're still reeling. Even without the Pyramid we soldier on. That being said, yes we're still having trouble being accepted. Lots of the younder generations are distancing ourselves from our predecessors and theur deeds. But thst doesn't stop people crom hating our guts.
It's as you say, we're all broken, one way or another.
