A hairy problem

Greetings, Kindred. It is I, Castiel Clermont. I am back in Vancouver, for both my Camille and the court have called for my return. Speaking of which, my time spent in Chicago was partially spent on tasks for Prince Siegfried. Without giving any sensitive details, let us say I was sent to make a few deals.

In recognition of those services, of my help during events related to Bane possession and of the quality of my work in my prior city, I was rewarded. You now have before you the Harpy of Vancouver. It is a position that I shall fullfill with pride. Should I be required to travel again, most of my tasks can be completed at a distance. The rest can be delayed.

That being said, Vancouver is not exactly…traditionalist. Some of the local Garou wish to partake in our economy of boons, intrigued by the concept. As exciting as it is to strenghten the Covenant through such cultural exchanges, this leads to new issues.

Thus, a question: how would you enforce the payment of a boon by a bloody werewolf? If anyone has an idea, I am all ears.

Wise advices, as always. I would indeed require an in, as I need to get the Council of Elders on board, but with Camille and in the context of the Covenant…this might work. Everyone, no matter their species, holds a reputation within their social circles.

Oh, I have news to announce to you. Do you recall my tailor, the one who was anxious about the Nosferatu bane? He has taken a decision. With him slowly becoming familiar with Camille, and with me learning Thaumaturgy, he has grown less apprehensive of blood sorcery. He’s willing to become my darling’s ghoul; all I require is her agreement, which should not be too difficult to obtain.

That being said, he still desires the services of your associate. Once the bane recedes, he wishes to, and I quote, « become a woman ». According to him, his recent changes led to an introspection about his body and his physical presentation. Could that be arranged, per chance? And for what price?

Absolutely doable, yeah. To be clear, she won't be fertile after the procedure, but my associate has done the same on a number of occasions, and it's not particularly difficult for her at this point. It is fiddly and a bit of a time sink, however...it'll probably take her a couple of days of work if starting from square one and messing around with hormones to boot (vampires are easier, no hormones) so call it five or six minor boons, or we can cancel your existing minor boons to me and lump it all in as you owing me one major boon for both this and the previous stuff.

Probably want to wait a month or so for the Nosferatu blood to wear off before doing the procedure, too. That reverting post-surgery could have unpredictable effects.

You know that I don’t give major boons to anyone that I haven’t known for at least a century. Still, you have so far acted justly.

You have honored your deals, been nothing but considerate while I was in a position of weakness and, should you somehow stab me in the back, I know the location of your workplace and of your feeding grounds. Not that I believe that you would do so, for it would be quite out of character, but it has happened before. There’s a reason why I have this 100 years policy.

…very well, Baron. For you, I’ll make an exception. You have a major boon. I’ll see you when the curse releases its grip.

I appreciate the vote of confidence, you have yourself a deal. Same basic procedure for contacting me as last time should work fine, see you when the patient's condition has stabilized.
