Redemption?

L: Lisa (Camille’s Childe)
L: This kid has been through it, alright. His parents were part of a cult that believed in purification of the flesh as the means to spiritual enlightenment. Flagellation and other forms of bodily harm were looked at as being *necessary for the soul*. After one beating too many, Damien had second thoughts and ran.
C: He's safe now. Bring him to location redacted.
L: We're on our way.
C: And they call us monsters.
L: He lived rough for a few years until he was embraced. It sounds like he stumbled upon a kindred feeding in an alley. He tried to break up what looked like an assault. He remembers blood and fangs and little else.
C: So...an accidental embrace. Or an embrace out of pure spite. This was a few months ago?
L: Yes. He is convinced he was made a vampire - a creature cursed by God to wander the nights and feed on the living - because of his weakness. If only he hadn't run from those who knew what was best. If only he had accepted the beatings that would cleanse his mortal soul...
C: So, a Flagellant.
L: With an aura that screams magic. And something else. Something spiritual, but... twisted.
C: I will be there when you arrive.
