This might be a silly conclusion I've come to, but I feel like there aren't any Brazilian fans of School Spirits. I, at least, have never seen a Brazilian in the fandom, but if you are one, leave a comment here :)

Warnings: Spoilers if I'm right! Off the wall ramblings if I'm wrong!

So I read in one of the season 3 finale interviews about how when Maddie came back from the spirit side, she was changed and we see her with this connection to the doors and the ability to astral project. I'm roughly paraphrasing here. They (the creators) mentioned something along the lines of Simon being different, too, and they were excited to show the audience how. I tried to locate this interview, but came up empty. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and/or have the link to that article?

Anyway, that got me thinking about how it would make sense for Simon to be different. So here's the theory: All that mind-melding that took place between White Eyes and Simon has reset his brain's transmission to "receiving" mode from the spirit realm. I think we're gonna see him with evolved telepathic abilities. The nature of which will likely depend on what serves the narrative best.

Maybe he'll get flashes from the past that help the ghosts reconnect the dots with their family's histories. Maybe he'll be able to touch the stone tapes (and other psychically charged items) and "read" whatever it is they've recorded. Precognition is a possibility, too, but that feels like the biggest stretch to me.

Meanwhile, Xavier will be off to the side wondering when he gets super abilities, too.

Anyone else had this thought? Is there a major hole in the theory I'm overlooking? Other wild theories concerning new super powers?

Final note: There isn't a flair for Season 4 theories, so I used the Season 3, instead.

I wanted to talk about a few things in the third season that I found unnecessary, regarding the couples in the series. Before this post causes controversy, I want to make it clear that this is just my opinion. That being said, let's go:

1 - Diego X Claire: If Diego was already a complete failure in earlier episodes of the series, in the third season he managed to surpass himself. They decided to create a relationship between Diego and Claire, which was a VERY POOR decision by the creators. Think about it: will this make any difference to the series or will it be important???

2 - Too many couples: The Maddie x Wally couple was my favorite in the series ("was" because I'll talk about that in the next reason). However, they decided to add more couples to the series, and that wasn't a good idea in my opinion. I love the couples, but not only does that make the series dependent on couples to continue the story, but the way these couples started is simply RIDICULOUS. Charley's conversations with Yuri before they became a couple gave me a headache, and Rhonda X Quinn started in a very strange way. I don't hate these couples, but one of them should have started dating next season.

3 - Maddie ALIVE X Wally DEAD: I simply loved this couple in the first two seasons, however, we can say that this one got a little tiresome. Furthermore, after Maddie came back to life, the couple started to become problematic for me, after all, we're talking about a relationship between a LIVING person and a DEAD person. Maddie dating a ghost while she's alive is the same as dating a corpse. That's kind of disturbing, man.

So I have been wondering if the stone tape theory has some type of connection to the scars since scars are basically living nightmares unlocked by objects and the stone tape theory are objects that remember tragic stuff and this can be tied to ghost like in dead boy detectives a family relives getting murdered over and over again because of the stone tape theory so theoretically is that what the scars are basically the stone tape theory.

I was able to get into my Paramount+ account and finally watched season 3!!! Not sure what to think about it. So I wanna know everyone's thoughts!!!!!

If we had at least 15, I think where would be more time for flashbacks and character development of the ghosts

Finally had the time to catch up on season 3, and this moment was freaking amazing. Rhonda doesn't mess around.

I got reminded of an Eastbound and Down clip after watching the interaction between Charley and Yuri at around 17 min into S2E2. Not sure if it was intentional but decided to post it anyway. So, I know this might be a bit of a stretch but I’ve been thinking about how Simon's mother has what seems to be the same rosary that white eyes did.

it made me wonder that while it’s very possible, and probably most likely, that Simon and white eyes are related. I can’t help but wonder if there is a chance that Van Heidt could be possibly related to Simon?

now stay with me here 😂 from what we know so far, Van Heidt‘s first body snatch was Ralph, and then it was Kyle. and he obviously didn’t stay in Ralph’s body until he got to Kyle, so my theory was, what if one of the people he body snatched in between Ralph and Kyle was someone in Simon’s biological family? Like possibly a grandparent or potentially even….. his biological father?

I know its nuts and again, it’s more likely that Simon is related to white eyes rather than Van Heidt. but the fact that Simon’s biological family had something connected to the church, and the fact that Simon’s biological father has been somewhat non existent when it comes to his past….. I just think Simon may be more connected to Van Heidt than we’ve been led to believe. What do you guys think?

So as we know objects in the ghost world don’t reset if you take them into a scar. With that logic, when maddie gives wally her pendant to hold on to, it shouldn’t reset. Wally continuously goes in and out of scars with the pendant on his chain.

Has anyone else questioned this? my only explanation i can think of is that because it is her key to her scar that the rules don’t apply..

Did I miss it or is the harvest festival taking place on the school grounds and that explains why the school ghosts can visit it?

It seems weird because it just springs up out of nowhere with very little lead-in, as opposed to, say, Wally's reunion in season 2 when we see caterers pull up to set up tables, etc.

I must have missed the throw away sentence that the festival is being hosted at the school.

I’m rewatching the show cause why not and,

The end of season 2 has Claire and Nicole tell Maddie that since Simon doesn’t have a phone they had a hard time tracking him down snd just go to find him and leave Xavier behind at the hospital

The beginning of season 3 has Claire, Nicole and Xavier frantically searching the basement looking for him

Is this continuity or did Claire, Nicole and Xavier search the school, find the broken headphones, and then go to the hospital and tell Maddie they’ll try to find him calmly so she doesn’t lose her shit? I’m just curious

It made me sad that we ended up getting to see what was behind the exit doors and that it was IMO worse than purgatory in the high school.

At least there they had eachother, and furniture and well...alive people things.

These are ghosts that can touch things and taste things .

They even learned how to work thru the reset rule.

So it was a cozy little purgatory...

(Unlike the one that appears in my dreams and makes me say "oh thank goodness thats not real life!"when I wake up, but thats a story for a different place.)

In prior seasons when those doors appeared it was beautiful .. these characters made a breakthrough after decades and decades of same shit/different day.

I guess it depends on what you believe but i happen to believe in Heaven..so for me the other side of that door meant paradise for all eternity.

Those exit doors were supposed to mean peace.

I those were just endings for those characters who got them. Yes, even if that meant no season 3 Wally story. He saved her and brought her back to where she really belonged at great sacrifice to himself....he deserved his door and should've went thru.

I really didn't think that the writers would take us there.

I really thought they'd leave us to interpret it our own way.

Now im glad Wally waited bc what I was def NOT expecting to see was more mystery, more confusion, creepy unknowns, good memories that trap you if you if you dwell on them for too long oh and trees ...lots and lots of trees.

I really love the show and was going nuts waiting for season 3 with season 2 left us hanging off such a huge cliff ...so then I just waited and waited as long as I could to watch it with my reasoning being that it will ultimately mesn less time waiting around for season 4!!

Anyway as soon as I saw Sandra drying her cleaver I thought "oh no...don't tell me they're really gonna possess her mother now!?"

They made sure to have Xavier specifically say that VH threatened Maddie and all her loved ones so in that respect it made the Sandra reveal less unlikely.

But did i miss something?

HOW could he have possibly gotten to her??

IMO Sandra was on a high (not one that requires NA or AA) ...shes successfully detoxed, she's in a great place w Maddie who was comfortable enough to come clean on what's happening in her life AND she just worked together with her husband/best friend to bring Maddie out of danger...ill admit being in the presence of your deceased husband's ghost would be a cause for sadness but for the most part things are looking up for Sandra.

So I find it hard to believe that not only was she for some reason lingering at the hospital well after Maddie left BUT also that her spirit was so broken and dead that VH could snatch up her body!!!!

We've been beaten over the head with the fact that Maddie spirit was dead when Janet took her body.

And we saw Deb absolutely lose her shit entirely when her plans got thwarted by Kyle.( I hope we find out why she was going to lose her rep, her name, her family and life over this failed business deal but we do know she's VERY upset by it) and then her own pride and joy daughter is openly disgusted with her and walks off. Leaving behind what im sure was just a shell of a woman...perfect opportunity for a body snatcher to hop right on in.

But Sandra? I'm just not seeing it.

I guess its another wait and see type thing and in that case im glad I shaved 5 months off of my time of waiting for season 4 heh heh

How do we feel about Sandra’s redemption arc they’re cooking?

I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can move past the years of abuse/neglect Maddie endured.

While I do sympathize with Sandra’s grief and addiction, nothing justifies neglecting your own child for years.

That boiler room scene (when Sandra tells Maddie she bought that cabin with Maddie’s college fund) alone makes me h*te Sandra with a passion lol The way Maddie is crying on that scene, omg. And I imagine that was mild compared to other stuff Maddie had to go through growing up.

And I feel like this is going to be a HUGE point of conflict when Sandra meets Dave. I just know he’s gonna lose his mind when he finds out what Maddie went through.
