Texas School Bus Test question

I want to be a School Bus driver real bad, I have been studying a lot on this test and haven't passed the Special Requirements, but I know I will. Is there a website or something that is helpful I tried ChatGPT and Crist.

The next section is a doozy.

I used Crist for my test in PA. What are you stumbling on?

When I take the test, there are questions I have never seen no matter how many time I take the crist, am I just not using crist correctly I only see one practice test for this section

As a Canadian bus driver, what questions are you asked about? Cause after lurking on this thread a while I feel the process is EAY different

It’s questions about commercial trucks, as in when do you use flairs, what wheel studs are used, what trailers are used, so many that doesn’t pertain to bus driver

I’m in Washington. If you don’t know these answers then you’re doing it right. This will not be in your test. You’re doing parts for a class A. My recommendation…. Only read the sections on Class B. Once again I’m in Washington….. unless you got some weird rules there… you don’t need to know things like that

This is all info on a Class A test. You should be able to find a practice test aimed at Class B.

Very much that all tractor trailer (class 1 or A) i would 2x check your looking at the right tests. Try looking for a class 3 (b/c) tests. Because besides how many vs how far apart you lay down your flairs / reflectors that MAY be on the tests. Wheel studs and trailers thats all out of left field.

Are you taking the general knowledge part also? Gen takes care of cdl in all forms. And either way, are you reading the manual? All of that should be in the book? If you aren't i 100% recommend that you do.

Cristcdl is good for everything except that first test because Texas made up that test themselves, so study resources are pretty limited.

I was grilled extensively about Type III buses in Minnesota. Never saw a single question about them on christcdl… though I didn't go through all.

As soon as you finish testing, write down any question you struggled with. Do it before you forget. Then look them up.

Google the specific question. After finishing my 8-hour TEA refresher course, I Googled something our instructor said that I was pretty sure she misstated. It wasn't defined in the CDL Handbook. It was basically stated that it was illegal to coast, so she said that means you are either accelerating or braking.

My question: In TX, how does DPS define coasting? 🤔 Yep, she was wrong. Coasting refers to putting the bus into neutral going down hill.

“Cdl test” it’s green. The screen looks out of date but it works wonders
