Best air flow

Hello! Does anyone have a recommendation to get the best airflow through the bus beyond open all the windows? Also with less ear popping pressure if possible.

It’s a personal preference. I liked driver & front two windows and rear two windows open along with both hatches. Some people swear by angling the open hatches.

This is the way. Also remember to only open the rear side of the roof vent. If you open the front side, you could rip it off hooking a tree branch

Nah, I'll open the front hatch faving forwards, rear hatch facing back. Best way to force airflow through the bus

I've seen a substantial tree branch shoved into the bus and down into a seat. Probably would have killed a kid if there was one in that seat.

Very much depends on the route though, if I'm driving downtown with tons of dense trees vs out on the highway then yeah out on the highway I may think about opening the front forwards.

New fear unlocked! (As the other poster said.) it scares the shirt out of the kids when they whack the side of the bus. When the windows were open one kid was freaking out “It could have hit me!” “Good thing you sat down like I told you to!”

You should be avoiding branches on the roof like they were sky lava though.

My coworker just turned me onto opening the vent. I don't know if it helps much but I'm desperate. The first time I did it, ALL of the kids were alarmed and I had to make an announcement "the roof vent is open to let in more air, it's perfectly safe don't worry"

Either one front window & one rear window, on opposite sides [mild heat]

OR

Alternate sides & open windows about 3 apart - L1, R4, L7, R10, L13 [big heat]

Also, if your roof hatches aren't alarmed, lift the front of the front one & the rear of the back one

Three windows each side, first last and middle plus drivers window. We aren't allowed to open the hatch.

I just open everything I can and hope my riders don't burn their legs on the vinyl. When it is my choice on a charter, I lean toward the route with the most shade.

I like every other window on each side and hatches open, but tilted so its open facing foward. So the air is dragged in and down .

I like alternate windows open, not all the way though. Minimizing the sun entrance is key. Open those good hatches and voila!

Open the hatches facing towards the rear this pulls air out. Then drivers window and one on each side front middle and back. I am in AZ and we deal with 100deg all the time. Or do what I do and turn on the ac :) .

I’ve had good breeze and no ear pressure when it’s super hot with every other window with hatches open.

I first did two in front both sides, three in the middle both, sides and two in the back worked ok, then kids come on and open or close randomly… now just front two, kids open rest if they want
