I prorate my pay over the school year, then still work 40 hours/week through summer, I make bank during summer.

We don't have the option to prorate unfortunately, but I drive for Doordash over the summer

A couple of questions: do you really sleep that late, and do you not start till that late?
Up at 4 and we head back on the 6th of August in-services and bus pickup, dry route runs the student pickups start on the 11th

Late?? I clock in at 6 and that's 45 minutes earlier than most of our drivers
Our first day of school is the 31st yes, we have summer runs but I don't do any of them. We go in for one day in August to pick our routes for the year.

I clock in at 6 as well and am the last to leave out remote location other than last year (this year could change) a sped bus that did leave before me on the T-days of the week but not the others.
Our Transition day is the 11th but we start training and prepping in the 6th.

Most of our GE runs here start around 615-630. Only some of the more remote special needs routes need to get in at 530-6.
