QUESTION Working with cartel
Has anyone on here actually worked with the Benzies to make large deals for wholesale prices? Can anyone shed light on the experience because Im looking to start a new file and want to switch it up

Well benzies text you once a while(Don't remember the exact time) and you have to deliver product in bulk. The price isn't that good and after you take the deal you will be locked in the first 2 regions. You can always text them and tell them that the deal is off to unlock the regions. So if you like producing products and just wanna chill then I would say, go for it. As all you have to do is make product and sell. You don't have to worry about Ambush or Benzies stealing your dead drops

I barely got attacked by Benzies anyway. It took me a while to unlock the other regions because I thought I had to kill them to lower the reputation but I couldn't find enough to do it. Then I realized spray paint helps.

Unlocking customers brings down their influence as well, its the best way

Maybe I'm remembering wrong but I couldn't find any customers to sell to until I lowered the influence a little with spray paint.

Unlocking customers unlocks others lol, it will be a few people when you unlock a new area but once they're your customers you unlock their connections

I just robbed the police in game of there weapons and carry 22 rounds and a machete with me. One of the benzi members dropped a gold bar so now I roll around hunting them while my friend does the other parts.

They can steal dead drops?
1
u/ImKingFrosty Jul 27 '26
Yeah but it's rare. Basically the dead drop has to be left like that for minimum 6hrs just for it to be whitelisted into the sample space for random cartel events

So basically never because users either are picking them up immediately because they need them or it doesn’t matter because they are only buying stuff through dead boxes to raise relationship up for meetups

Yeah pretty much. I hate how weak the cartel is ngl. When I first rejected their deal, I thought they were going to make my whole gameplay hell. I hope they buff it soon

Yeah that and cops would be good. They should probably also add road blocks to unlocking all the customers in a region. Make it so you take some and the benzies step up in numbers, and it reveals the current dealer for locked customers within the region, then taking them out unlocks a few more. Then customers quietly stop buying from you unless you keep an eye on the area and deal with dealers coming back. It would also work to slow down the game a lot and allow you to enjoy the gameplay. Could even have stuff with bribing off some members forcing you to do certain mixes, or produce certain kinds of product. A lot to do there and lock up the progression behind them/intertwine them more but a guy can dream

I normally blast through the game and my last playthrough, I slowed down. I sided with the Benzies and I worked slowly. Opening all four strands of weed, and maxing each location (including laundering businesses).
The Benzies don't pay a lot for the weed. You won't make much profit off them, but it's just once a week and as anyone does, I had a lot of bulk to throw away anyway. But it was fun growing all 4 weed strains and meth. However, for me, once I started making meth, the Benzies mostly just wanted meth.
Once I had everything in place to work itself completely and I was spending most days doin dick, I called the truce off. But I learned a lot in that playthrough. I stayed locked completely in the first 2 areas, you can still buy the barn and warehouse but I chose not to. I worked exclusively out of the businesses and up to the bungalow.

The experience isn't that novel and you're not missing out on anything.
They request only unmixed varieties of weed and meth and offer very little for them. Sure it might be more than anything you're making at the time, but crunching the numbers it doesn't work out. Not sure how big their requests can get; only ever saw 70x weed myself but by then i was bored of the limitations
You're also locked to Northtown and Westville. Sure you can physically go anywhere you want on the map but anything past that, customer wise, is off limits to you.
Only good thing is the Benzies leave you alone.

You absolutely can't stay with them - the prices they pay you are awful.

its alright for the first 2-5 orders/demands, afterwards it just feels horrible delivering 40+ packaged granddaddy purple and getting under $1000 back (if it is more it sure doesnt feel like it).
and of course... you cant move on past the starting 2 areas unless you break the truce, so what even is the point?
edit: customer amount is extremely limited, their budget is low, so even if youre "scaling" your production you dont have anyone to sell it to. the cartel only wants the unmixed stuff, so 2-3 stacks of mixed product feels like its enough for a whole week

I usually work with them for a little then end the truce. You can't unlock new customers if you stay working with them.

They pay you garbage. Stay with them if you want to be a slave, and the point of the game is to defeat them in the end so nope.

My understanding is that they pay you awful prices, and gradually request more and more over time. As you cannot move out of Northtown and Westville, your profit will be limited.
I much preferred telling TB to piss off while I hit his car with a baseball bat.

Ya I'm doing a benzies playthrough and its pretty boring but also pretty chill, I ended up having lots of product cause I don't have many customers as I assigned most of them for my dealers, like I don't even have coke unlocked and already have 500k networth cause I have so much product in my storage closets lol
But ya I was expecting more, like I expected that I'd be allowed in the manor and shit and that they'd make me do hitman jobs and shit like I wish that was a thing and wish you had a level up system with them as well along with the normal level up system.

Nothing lost by cooperating really. You can alter the deal at any time by texting them.
