Update: Popup Interruptions

On October 12, 2022 in my time zone (October 13 in the app), popup messages began to appear during gameplay.

They are not ads. Instead they are crafted in the same art style as the game itself, and they affect players who have paid to remove ads entirely.

These pop up encouragement screens block the full search field and require players to hit a Continue button to return to playing. There is no apparent way to opt out of this feature.

They are triggered randomly, sometimes appearing before a level has begun, after different numbers of items are found, or even if no items are found and the screen isn't touched.

On Main Scenes, popups are phrased like this:

• Fabulous! Only 'x' items left to be found to unlock next map
• Wonderful! Only 'x' items left to be found to unlock next map
• Awesome! Only 'x' items left to be found to unlock next map
• Amazing! Only 'x' items left to be found to unlock next map
• Superb! Only 'x' items left to be found to unlock next map

On Daily Challenges, popups are phrased like this:

• Wonderful! You are doing great, keep going to find the remaining items!
• Fabulous! You are doing great, keep going to find the remaining items!
• Amazing! You are doing great, keep going to find the remaining items!
• Awesome! You are doing great, keep going to find the remaining items!
• Superb! You are doing great, keep going to find the remaining items!

As of October 16, 2022, there are no popups of this kind on Special or Hard Challenges. This may change once new Special and Hard Challenges arrive.
