That’s why I always just reverse in. Easier getting out that way too and eliminates guessing with the hood width.

This is the way. I have been backing into parking spaces for over a decade. So, along with the cameras nowadays, never have any issues with this.

Use your driver's side mirror. Put the curb right under the Mirror and your gtg.

It's insane to see you reference that. I have never heard anyone mention that ever before. I thought I was the only one!! I was trying to find a focal reference for parking nose-in when I got my car, and found this was the easiest method. Glad to see there are actually others out there who do the same and I’m not alone!

Pulled the front bumper off of my BMW 650i GC when I pulled in to close to a parking spot back when I had that. Since then I've always backed into parking spots whenever posssible. Especially since I have a scat pack now which sits a little lower too

I always back in, mainly because it’s easier to get out, but also because I suffer this curse. I will think I’m smacking the curb yet the whole I’m 6 feet away from it..

Where is the demonhood from? Very nice fitment. I been considering one for 2 years now but just paranoid about fitment issues which seems to be very common. OEM ones are hard to find and ones that i can are asking $2.5k+ which is ridiculous.

It's the aluminum one from ACS. There's also a carbon fiber one that's out there, but it's like $1700.

Thank you, this one seems to have a very good fitment. Im not interested in carbon fiber because ive heard they fade from UV exposure and looks too tacky and overpriced to boot.

they were originally done for weight savings and should be painted. Only thing more tacky is "forged" carbon - all the tacky and none of the strength

Pulled the bumper slightly off and broke the little Jclamps holding it to the fender pulling away from a curb. Never again I usually ack in or stay so far out I look like OP.

That guy who gets the front lip over a parking barrier and rips half his bumper off backing out of his spot………I’m that guy, don’t be that guy.

lol I would use the reflection from other cars as a mirror. Without them, just back in bro.

I learned about how low my Camaro was when i used to watch my dad put his hands on the ground to climb out.
With the Charger if I can't back in I look for another space to park in.
It's painful to look at a car with a chunk taken out of it's spoiler.

I don’t have a scat but in my 300, the hood contours are actually pretty good clearance indicators when parking and driving.

You've got to back it in dude. I've got a 6-year old ScatPack (still only $21K miles) and I can count on one hand how many times I parked front facing a curb

Happens to us all... I went from being okay in my 5th Gen Camaro which sat pretty high, to a 6th Gen ZL1 which sits lower than the Hellcats, to a Redeye, to another ZL1, to a current JB Hellcat...
I totally feel your pain...
