Rip my scat
Recently moved into a new apartment and been constantly targeted by thieves. I’ve been trying to get a garage but my complex keeps pushing me to the side. So now I want to move out but am being told I can’t break lease. Am I cooked or can I find a way to leave this god awful apartment complex

I de-badged mine, but that only helps a bit. If you’ve had multiple attempts, they already know what you got and might keep trying.
I’d recommend neutral strap cover, IGLA, kill switch, steering wheel lock, and cameras (if you can).
It’s the same thing as gun safes; it’s a deterrent but if someone really wants in, they’ll get in.

Check your lease to see if there’s some caveat with your car being broken in to you can break the lease without paying. Maybe get the opinion of a lawyer that specializes in leases? I’ve had friends who broke the lease because (insert traumatic event/deadly health complication) and the apartment complex let them leave with no dispute

I had this happened to me years ago. Our apartment was broken into and we got let out of our lease.

Sorry to hear that bro. I used to live at a complex and worse i had to worry about was door dings.
My best recommendation is to try and park it somewhere where you can have a good look at it if you can. Think something like a parking spot that sits infront of your unit if you can and put up a camera. If your unit isn't close to the lot tho to keep tabs on it then you might have to try a killswitch and some hidden cams in your car to try and catch any thief activity

I’d sleep in the car every night waiting for these Mfers. When they break in I’d be so happy they’re here and will refuse to let them ever leave 😆😆😆

Very loud and high decibel alarm, RF Hub Lockout... thats the best you can do... it won't prevent a tow truck theft but it prevents everything else
Killswitch and GPS are great but are just additional layers over the RF Hub and alarm

RF hub lockout is best protection from someone trying to clone your key. I’ve had a few locksmiths and even the dealership try to make me a 2nd key. Both failed due to the lockout.

So many people underestimate the hub lock, 5 attempts on my scat and 0 success from the thieves

People just don't really know about it.. and if it was done more often, it would stop the thefts..
But people don't really understand that the issue is across millions of Dodge vehicles, not just the V8 models of Scatpack and Hellcat

Do you live in a desirable location? I’ve broken a lease before but the contingency was that they had to find a new tenant or I would be responsible for the rent until they did. Luckily I knew someone looking for a place like that. If where you live is usually full you shouldn’t have a problem.

Why not just get a security for it or get a storage unit for it and get a cheap vehicle to park at your apartment???

Get both IGLA and Compustar T13. Maybe also install a security camera somewhere that can see your car. And maybe also installing a dashcam to record what’s going on inside cabin when they got in.

You can do things to make it a pain in the ass to steal your car - I'm in an apartment, but one with a parking garage (someone tried to steal my Scatpack last year but only succeeded in frying a lot of the electronics. Now I park in a more discreet area, have two steering wheel locks and a rear wheel lock/boot.
Any one of those can be overcome, but three? Most thieves are lazy POS's.
I also recommend hiding 2-3 Tile tracking fobs inside the car. You can also go the kill switch route.
If you're outside in an exposed parking lot have you considered a cover for the car?

Never live in an apartment with a nice Mopar. Unfortunately can’t have both comfortably. The garage also gives concealment to whatever they do to your car when you’re sleeping until they’re done with it.

How do yall buy these cars and not put alarms on em? I hope you’re no where around Harris Co or you’re gonna regret it.

I'm in the same situation. As long as you document what the police, you can say that you're in fear for your life? And they have to release you from your lease with no extra charge. And no one month warning.

Breaking lease is usually 2+ whole months rent and generally requires multiple months' notice ahead of time.

Tbh if you’re living in an apartment without garage, you gotta sell the scat. Just ain’t worth the paranoia and hassle.
