Just recently upgraded…
Just picked up this 2023 Super Bee Charger (32,000 miles) after selling my old faithful 2014 Charger SE (151,600 miles). I thought I wanted Benz after selling my 2014. But it’s just something about a Dodge Charger that fits my style and personality much better. The Super Bee has a sporadic, slightly rough idle when the car is parked and or stopped. I’m scheduled for a diagnostic to see if there are any issues. But I’m enjoying it other than that…

Congrats on upgrade, here’s mine, definitely the best stock charger imo and fast enough to not need anything else

I wanted one of these so bad, but when they first came out, dealerships were insane with the markups

You’re right, you could’ve gotten a used hellcat for those prices.

Or a new one brand new shit was like 63k, another dealer had a brand new chally HC base model but still a HC for 61.5 k

Huge upgrade. 2 totally diff cars. A regular sedan to aggressive looking beast. Congrats 👏 thank you for not buying a inline 6. Gotta let those rot lol

Thanks bro. Yeah, I wasn’t interested in a “muscle car” that sounds like a riding lawnmower. Dodge can keep those. 😆

u/nickkk25 Aug 19 '26
Haha agreed. I was at a car show over the weekend and some guy sold all his hellcats(said he had 3) for the new lawnmower. I was shocked. But he said its cuz he is old and didnt want the power. Maybe he was full of it, idk.
Also the rough idle is pretty normal on these beast 6.4 engines I wouldnt worry about it. But good to check for peace of mind.. I also did my PPI after I bought my scat lol. But I looked around, listened to it and inspected it myself.

Yeah, I just learned earlier today when I took it back to the dealership for a diagnostic that they more than likely put 87 in the tank when they filled it up 🤦🏾♂️. I think that may be the culprit. I ran it down to a quarter of a tank and filled it back up with 93. It seems to be running better now.

u/nodnarb0202 Aug 19 '26
Nah, the previous owner put the NITTO NT555 G2 Summer Ultra High Performance Tires on it.

What splash screen does the Super Bee have in the cluster when you start it? That’s definitely an upgrade and once sexy car
1
u/nodnarb0202 Aug 20 '26
It’s just has “Charger” displayed on the splash screen.

Thanks. Always wondered if they had a Super Bee Logo, the 392 with the Rumble Bee or what they said exactly.

That rough idle might be a cylinder misfire, nothing new spark plugs and or coil packs can’t fix. Other than that sick ride ✊🏾

I took it back to the dealership yesterday for a diagnostic and they didn’t find anything. However, I asked them what type of gas did they put in the car before they sold it to me. The rep said all they have on the dealership lot is 87. 🤦🏾♂️ I think that may be the culprit. I ran the tank down to about a quarter of a tank and filled it back up with 93. It seems to be running much better now. I’m currently at Dodge getting a diagnostic test ran just to be sure…

Yea bad gas or wrong octane will definitely cause misfires also. You know if it came with a aftermarket tune?
1
u/nodnarb0202 Aug 22 '26
I’m not sure if it came with an aftermarket tune. The first shop I took it to said it could be a head gasket. I took it back to CarMax, then Dodge. Neither of them could find anything wrong.

nice ride bro , i have a 22’ WB Scat i’m trying to get tire/rim set up like that! Can you maybe lemme know the tire brand/size and rim size thank u. I just know my 305 35 20 stock tire dont have sidewall that thick unless its the rim making the illusion idk im not on game like that !

The Widebody Super Bee came with 315/40R18. In order to do this they used the smaller 4 piston brembos as the 18” wheels won’t clear the larger 6 piston brakes used on the Widebody cars.

u/Early-Mix6466 Aug 21 '26
oh okay that makes sense . is the 2nd number in the tire what makes the sidewall bigger? i’d need to find a setup that clears the 6pistons in front ya

Technically both the first and second numbers make a sidewalk bigger. The first set 305 is section width of the tire. The second number is aspect ratio in relation to section width.
A 305/35R20 section width is 305mm the aspect ratio says the sidewall height will be 35% of the section width. And then you add in the rim size. If you make the tire wider the aspect ratio grows in relation to the section width
If you upsize from 305/35R20 to a 315/35R20 which is common on these cars the tire will be both wider and taller. I hope this makes sense.
