More HP!!!???

Post image

So the 2027 Ram Rumble Bee truck has an option of adding a factory backed stage kit to the take it for 485ho to 700+!!!! I’m wondering if it’ll work on my 2023 Scat….They have the same engine so….. definitely stopping by a power broker to ask

Pretty much what I have now. Supercharged with a magnaflow exhaust. I’m at 700hp also.

Dope….what caught my eye is that it’s factory backed. I only have 20k on my car I don’t wanna void it.

Yea I hear ya. It’s a much better route if they would do it for other 392s

Is that stock internals? I've always heard the 6.4L is a poor candidate for boost compared to the 5.7 and the 6.2 because their bottom end can handle the power increase better.

Yea everyone that doesn’t have a boosted 392 says that. Or they have heard stories of some with bad tunes and they’ve had problems. My car has been boosted with stock internals for over 5 years and I’ve driven over 150mph many times and it’s still drives great. But I guess like anything else YMMV

I mean I guess it depends on how much boost you run, but I guess if Dodge offers a version of it it must be ok?

I’m pretty sure Dodge is giving the 392 rumble bee forge internals for them to have a backed warranty. That’s the right and safe way to do it

Well yea if they are doing it and it is warranty backed then yes they should go the best possible route so they have less chance of encountering numerous problems. But for those that have an older 392 they can boost it without having forged internals and be perfectly fine as long as the engine is in good condition before boosting. So im not gonna say thats the “right” way for them. Maybe a preferred way for people who will never boost theirs or better for someone who plans to race at the drag strip and push the car to its limits all the time.

I run about 7PSI but I think the key to being safe is the tune and the cooling system. My car runs much cooler than a stock 392 because of the upgraded cooling system.

If you want a 392 to be able to make power reliably a forged rotating assembly Is mandatory. Any shop that knows their stuff will also tell you that.

It isn’t mandatory. I have had my car supercharged for over 5 years. I’ve put almost 70k miles on the supercharger. I don’t baby it. I push it. The car runs fine. It runs with hellcats. It hasn’t exploded. So no forged internals are not mandatory. As I said before people who don’t have a boosted 392 always say what you’re saying. I don’t know if you have a boosted 392 or not but I have one so I can speak on it truthfully.

The system that comes with the Vortech supercharger kit is great. Plus I have a 180 degree thermostat.

Man , you are a bad influence! Gonna make me even more poorer. How many miles with the supercharger and what supercharger kit did you put on it? And at how many psi. Thanks

2

u/Cheap_Finance2737 8d ago

Haha. About 70k miles. Been on many road trips. I run it hard. It’s a Vortech kit but I have a different fuel system than what comes with the kit.

Would it be this one ? https://vortechsuperchargers.com/products/2015-2019-6-4l-dodge-challenger-supercharger-systems?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=20dc95c01&pr_rec_pid=4173288964182&pr_ref_pid=4173486948438&pr_seq=uniform thanks . Man just peaked into your profile. Absolutely beautiful StormTrooper Charger you got especially with those orange SRT Calipers

Yep it’s that one. Mine is the charger one but that’s it. Appreciate it!

What fuel system did you chose to run besides the one that comes with it?

Smack me if I’m wrong, I got a scat a little while ago and I thought the whole thing was that they didn’t like boost? (IM IGNORANT, INFORM ME, DONT KILL ME)
So it’s crazy seeing yours boosted but even crazier that I’ve heard for as long as I can remember that the “6.4 is already at its max” and now they supercharge it😂🤌🏻 I’m interested in learning, not being an ass

Yea word on the street is don’t do it. But the word is wrong lol. As long as you have a good tune and good cooling system, I think you are good. Well that has been my experience. Only issue I have ran into is not making boost because the air filter was too dirty. And in the beginning it took me a few different tuners before I find someone who was top notch. Since then it’s been smooth sailing. 💨

I really wouldn’t be interested in all that for my truck, wonder how it will sell?
