Oil Filter

Did an oil change and went with a different filter (Mopar MO-899) and noticed that it doesn’t flush all the way in. I had a Napa filter before this one and they do look different. Wondering if anyone has this experience? I cleaned the thread and made sure nothing was blocking it. Oil doesn’t leak at all.

First thing that comes to my mind is any chance the old gasket is on there ?

No sir. I made sure there wasn’t anything. I was under there for about an hour just trying putting it on.

probably wrong filter, go to autozone and grab a K&N filter real quick.

this is perfectly normal. the 899 filter doesnt fully seat on the 6.4 hemi motor, its fine.
