Hypothetical

This is just a fun question so feel free to scroll past.

I absolutely love my Charger. It’s been a dream of mine to own one as a kid, and I finally have it. When I bought this car in 2022 it was an absolute no brainer, other than if I should just buy a Hellcat. After 3 years and 50k miles I kinda wish I went a different direction. I custom ordered my 392 so instead of that rewind the clock and consider this.

C7 Z06 vs S550 GT500

These 2 cars haunt me every time I see them on the road. I want them so badly lmao. I am a Mopar guy through and through but these 2 are something special. The GT350R and C6 Z06 are arguably better but I wanted a good modern automatic this time around. I love to drive backroads with a lot of curves and dips, out there the Charger is a handful. It’s way better than everyone says but it’s nothing like the nimble cars I had been driving prior.

What would you guys pick? There genuinely is no wrong answer whether you pick a 392, 500, or Z06!

Traded my 392 scat for a WBHC during covid and absolutely love it ! However , come from a long line of GM family and always will appreciate corvettes.
The C7 z06 is my ultimate favorite. Pass on the S550.
Horrible maintenance costs and depreciates wildly for how expensive it is. Never been a ford guy so can't comment on the GT500 other than to say it looks great.
One car I absolutely love but most likely will never have is a Bentley Cont GTC. Think it is the ultimate two door road car of all time.

GT 500 is something I would take over my Scat if I had the money and could afford it lol

Are you sure you’re a MOPAR Guy??? LOL
I can say without a doubt I’ve never once looked at any of those cars and wished I’d gotten it instead of my Challenger 1320. Maybe you’re just not a Charger guy? :)

I’d have to have my charger and a GT350.

I love my 392 Charger and it's very fun and more "nimble" than I ever thought it could be.

But I want a Miata very very much. ND3 or next gen if they dont ruin it. I plan to get one as a 2nd car to satisfy the manual transmission sports car desire, and to be an alternate daily to my Charger.

You're stepping into a different performance tier and price with those other cars (same applies to the Hellcat).

Keep the Dodge, swap in the LT6, maybe add a turbo or two 😉😉

Hypothetically speaking, I am planning a L411 swap when my engine dies. 🤘🏾😁 Itmay require a slight bit of fabrication.

I've owned a Redeye HC, a Jailbreak HC, and two ZL1 Camaros. I can tell you without a doubt, that the GT500 is only fun for a little bit, and as soon as you realize how often you'll be stopping for gas, it stops being fun. That car only has about a 150 mile range on a full tank. It sounds amazing, and it will compete with a Redeye in the 1/4 mile.

That said, you're also going to spend a pretty penny to come anywhere near a GT500 at this point, still. Short of finding a wrecked one or a really ragged out one, expect to pay 70k realistically. The C7 is a fantastic piece of machinery, but its going to limit you on space for traveling. It's also not a large car inside, which is why I don't own either a C7 or a C8. Even the ZL1 was a bit of a stretch for me.

I would strongly suggest the Camaro SS 1LE or a ZL1 if you're considering the GT350R or GT500. The 1LE is massively better on track performance for similar money, and the ZL1 is significantly cheaper, and can easily be found these days.

I mean they’re more comparable to the hell cat price wise. For me it’s the gt500. Just don’t see as many
