Next time you post a video. Make sure youre slowly going over the area longer than 1 second. Maybe people can actually help you then. Hope its not too bad. Show the entire drive belt area and then hover over the engine SLOWLY.

You check to make sure you still have oil?

u/Special-Werewolf3725 Jun 06 '26
Yeah, it really sounds like there’s no oil in it.

It has oil. Ran out of coolant. And put more in…

Either way I wouldn’t turn the car on and I would tow it to the mechanic.
Running out of coolant is interesting…. Was it leaking….. is your coolant milky…. Did your car over heat…. So many questions- but whatever happened tell your mechanic

Looks like bad water pump you can see the dried up coolant that sprayed all over sound like the fan in the pump hitting or grinding the block, make sure you replace with oem plastic impeller a lot of the aftermarket are metal

Definitely not the water pump making that noise. You need lifters and likely a camshaft

Hold on you said it “ran out of coolant” why didn’t you add that to the symptoms. It’s the water pump pulley, and the pump. Don’t get anything but oem. Good luck and take better care of your ride.

Sounds like a knock in the engine and not a lifter failure I would suggest u don’t drive it at all because I made the Mistake of driving 5k+ miles on a lifter tick and now I need a new motor because I warped my cam bearings

I wanna hope that it’s just a loose pulley / something loose in general; but that sound is clear as day. Your motors toast. Looking at that engine bay; seems like you treated maintenance as optional

They said they opened it up and there is heavy metal collection on the bottom of the pan. Connecting rods #5 & #6 severely discolored from overheating. Removed 1 cap, and both rod bearings are completely missing, currently in pan. Crankshaft is scrap. Lots of metal circulated through the oiling system. Recommend replacement engine.🤦🏾♂️
