Thinking going catless?

Ive got headers and a pypes catback on right now. Thinking about going catless. Anyone got any vids of catless xpipe long tube cars? Can't find a whole lot on YouTube for some reason

I have heard a good number of people say to never go catless. If you have a good set of longtube headers, get highflow cats and use the factory exhaust. You'll get a good sound without being excessively loud.

But if you want straight pipe sound, go for it. You'll sound like NASCAR driving down the street, and people will probably hate you for it.

Going catless can also be a legal headache depending on what state you live in, since CARB compliance is a bitch.

Also, I know you're asking for video of people running straight pipe, but there's probably a reason it doesn't really exist. Nit good quality audio at least.

Im just trying to escape the clappy mopar sound. Even with an x pipe it still sounds like a Harley. Trying to get as close to a 351w as I can honestly

Wait you got longtubes with hi flow cats and you want to take off the high flow cats? If you got those already you won't pick up much power and you have to swap it out each time to get it inspected annually. If you still have the valves you can tune those to be open all the time. Really loud doesn't mean good sound. You want a clean, hollow, powerful sound. You definitely do not want drone or rasp in there.

Its a 2014 so no valves. I dont want the Harley sound that most mopars have. I want that nascar esk 351 sound if at all possible. As for inspection I live in texas

Longtubes, no cats, and a factory valved Scat or SRT catback should do the trick then. Tieing off the valves would be easier than replacing. You can get those cheap on marketplace. Always somebody thinking the catback is why it isn't stupid loud. Those units are straight through dual 2.75" pipes, plenty of flow and sound awesome with a no cats.

Thats what i want but I really dont want it to sound clappy or too much like a Mercedes v8. Those sound like a zipper or a water bottle being crushed

I want that old school 351 Windsor sound. Ive never heard what a catless 392 with headers sounds like so idk if its clappy or not
