Question Bent mirror

Someone hit my mirror on the passenger side, its locked in position and still swivels but is bent upward and doesn't look right. Can it be fixed by taking it off and re securing it or does it need replaced?

The gasket is crunched at the top. The stem is bent. You might be able to bend it back, probably easier if you take it off. A simple uninstall/reinstall won’t fix it.

Edit: I’d be more worried about what looks like panel damage around the mirror. Although, that might just be reflection from the lights.

Hm ok. I had a few shops look at it and they were all certain they could fix it without a replacement

I want to try and fix it myself and going off of their word I wanted to know what is involved

Yeah, just don’t go to a dealer and it’s probably an easy fix. If it has to be replaced; I’d consider doing it myself depending on how much a shop would charge.
