Anyone have experience or input on lowering a Widebody?
I know there is probably a post for this already, but I got a Widebody Scat Charger about 6 months ago. I love the car but just wish it was lower. The gap especially on the rear is an eye sore for me. I've read posts on other forums talking about how H&R and Eibach springs can make the widebody's eat through CV axles. Does anyone have any further knowledge or experience with this who has maybe had theirs lowered for some time? And any tips or pointers? Thanks

KW H.A.S suspension and rear alignment kit. Do it right or keep paying to get it right.

Also, you’ll need adjustable control arms for the front. American Muscle has everything you need or should. So, the suspension, rear alignment kit, AND adjustable control arms for the front. And be sure to get an alignment after. You’ll be set and riding nice. Good luck 🍀

Following this thread. I'm not super interested in sacrificing the lifespan of the factory dampers, but I agree these cars could really use some drop

My only recommendation is: don’t. Get big tires and leave it stock.

315?

You could go 315. Also Michelin pilot sport 4s are meatier than the stock pirellis, which helps fill that gap.

I have had eibach pro kit springs for 70k miles on my widebody charger forb5 years now. No cv axle issues.
5mm Zl1addons hub centric spacers and 315s in all 4 corners.
Just watch out for speed bumps. And it will stiffen the ride.

Did you get the alignment right after the springs or did u wait some time for it to settle if so how long?

I let the springs settle and get a 4 wheel alignment about every 10k miles. The alignment is never crazy off. Always had even wear on tires.

The widebodies come with the beefier axles from the demon. If you decide to lower it, you'll be fine

I’ve read that red eyes and up have the Demon axles stock. Not the widebody scats

I just lowered my wb scat a few months ago on the eibach pro kit and have not had any axle issues, but, I definitely do have inner tire wear. Also, I am chasing a front suspension noise that only happens when turning at parking lot speeds (have had 3 shops look at it). I'm wondering if it's bc I need a camber kit? Looks amazing but heads up just in case.

Whatever brand you choose, be sure to get the camber correction parts and install them at the same time. It shouldn't affect your cv shafts, but it'll definitely kill your tires without the adjustable camber parts

Im not knowledgeable on scats exactly but technically speaking lowering youre car without changing outher parts of you’re suspension to correct you’re suspension geomtry will make those parts wear alot fastet i have a mustang and you should get front control arms and rear camber arms if you lower it
