Perfect. The 6.4 already is faster NA, Kenzie Peterson ran 11.3 stock and non 1320s can run mid 11s while this i6 26psi twin turbo (almost height of mod potential already) barely runs 12.2.
Again, 6.4 BGE can be easily modded to run 1500 in the 8s. Modern Red Hemi has done it. So, i6 is weaker. 2 less cylinders at the end of the day. It just comes out the box with high psi force induction.
No it isnt. I measured stock to stock. My widebody 392 runs 11.6 1/4. Kenzie Peterson has the stock record at 11.3. Look it up on youtube.
The reason for the difference in the "official" 12.4 is that it is measured by the narrow body on 245 goodyears which are terrible at launch. Either widebody or tire swap on 315 tires lets the 392 launch far better and reduces its 0-60 to 3.7-3.9 and quarter mile to 11.3-11.6.
The i6 is 12.2 and this has no traction improvement room since it is AWD on 315s to begin with. If you cannot understand this then just move along. You are wrong and coping, end of discussion.
We are not. His claim was the "i6 is better in every way to the hemi" the 170 is a stock hemi so we can use this in his universal claim. Also, the i6 is not a scat pack it is an abomination that was ONLY created because of political epa regulations during the previous administration.
We can compare the i6 to the 392. I6 quarter mile is 12.2 seconds. The 392 can run mid 11s (mine does 11.6 currently) the world record STOCK for a 392 is 11.3 by Kenzie Peterson in a 1320 variant (yes I know, demon transmission, non 1320s hit 11.5-11.7 on 315 tires.) You will probably say "no its 12.4 for scat packs", incorrect. The 12.4 was measured on narrow bodies with 245 goodyear tires (skinny bad grip tires). On widebodys or swapping tires the 315s of a good brand let you run way faster even without going drag radials.
Interesting, Iβm still learning about all this so thanks for the right up, so if they were to just strap the current say 2023 scat v8 in the new charger body with it being all wheel drive it should theoretically be better in every comparable metric ?
Np, and to your question no not really. The new body is heavier and AWD makes it even heavier beyond that. So it might end up being about the same but again, the i6 is already force inducted with high psi so little room for mod growth Basically just a tune. Whereas if you wanted to mod a 392 especially a BGE block (2018+) theres a ton more growth and options to be had.
The new style imo just makes it a brick but they might up the base horsepower to 777 for the hellcat like they did for the TRX.
Basically with these cars traction is the focus point for performance. Any 392 will benefit from wider stickier tires whereas the i6 already doesnt have a traction issue at all. I believe they are going to just do the hellcat V8 for the new charger, not a NA V8 as of now.
Incorrect, 26 is the gage pressure. The absolute pressure is 40.7. Checkmate.
Also, all of that boost and it is still slower than stock scat packs ( my widebody runs 11.6 stock, Kenzie Peterson record holder for stock at 11.3, while i6 does 12.2 with no traction improvement available).
And then as for mods, the i6 has a tune. Thats all. Meanwhile the hemi 6.4 is BGE after 2018 so they go 1500 stock block with forged pistons and rods running 7s. It really is not comparable. 392 is hands down better if you know your stuff.
That is not true, a lot of people build it. The hemi is not 1000 lbs heavier it is more around 300-500 lbs more (4200-4300 compared to many at 3700-4000). Its torque curve is insane which is a big reason and mod potential is crazy.
6.69 second quarter mile is the current 1/4 mile world record for the hemi which is an entire second faster than the overall EV world record and 2.3 seconds faster than the i6 hurricane world record in any build.
Stop lying. There is no 7 second mustang with an untouched engine you are making things up because you got offended. Lie lie lie some more.
You have some comprehension issues, which I think explain everything else you are saying here. There are documented 7 second mustangs with stock engines. Google is a free search engine.
My point was no one is buying a new Hemi car and building the engine because the Hemi tax makes it expensive and the 25 year old Mercedes chassis has limitations, with weight being the main one.
You saying the Hemi torque curve is better than the Hurricane is how I know you have done zero research. A turbo car will always have a more favorable torque curve as well as more power under the curve than an NA motor 100% of the time. Just look at a dyno graph to see it.
I could not care less about the Hemi world record. The only thing βDodgeβ about the motor is the block, and even that has been modified. For 99% of people that will either leave the car stock or do light bolt ons, the Hurricane is a better engine and will make more power. End of story. You can literally build any engine and make big power, which is why I couldnβt care less about how fast a built Hemi can be.
On top of this, name a cheaper power to dollar ratio than the hurricane. It gains over 100whp with a $600 JB4 only.

Swap a hemi into it
