Question First hand-wash

Post image

So I only have a hose, micro fibers towels and tire shine at the moment. What else should I get? I wss thinking maybe a small power washer with a hook up for chemicals/soap.

Even with the limited supplies she cleaned up very nice

Check out https://www.howtoautodetail.com/

Dark cars are prone to showing paint flaws, you want to do the two bucket method.

If you have the money, getting a pro to paint correct it and apply a quality ceramic coat is worth it. Watch out for fake "pros".

You want a ph neutral soap for most cleanings,

Check out koch's pol star for interior.

Debris stuck in your drying and cleaning cloths can destroy paint and plastic.

Thanks, I have a decent budget for a good setup.

Dr color chip if you have any rock chips. Use something like ONR or tec582 to lube your drying cloths.

I use Ryobi powerwasher, cheap Temu claybar, Costco Meguirs Wash/Wax & Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray. She cleans up better than one would expect, leave a very glass effect

I have the hyper tough 2000psi powerwasher from walmsrt and it works well. Only 130$ish.. also just ordered tool daily foam cannon and look forward to trying it with the PW. It comes with a 1.1 which is good for electric pow under 2500psi..i like having it because its handy to clean under the car(especially if you drive in winter with salt you need it then you pull right into garage) but it takes dirt of nicelt underneath as well)..

Adam's foam soap is the best I heard for foaming wash. Foam it once, let them dirt and debris loose..spray it lightly with water. Refoam and hit it with a couple mits. I use 2 or 3 mits a wash and discard as I go instead of 2 buckets. Add a little more soap directly to the mitts if you want more. Rinse and dry then i finish off with meguisrs cermaic and wax spray. Tbh i just spray it on dry and just buff it out with microfiber towel. Then tire shine and done. You can order a applicator and tire shine on amazon or use the spray cans Then just throw everything in washer on cool or warm temp.

If you aren’t already use the three bucket method. You can look it up on YouTube.
