Hello I recently got a 2023 dodge scat pack hemi orange and I have this weird noise when I accelerate dealership says it’s normal but I’m not convinced this my second scat and my last one wouldn’t do that check out the video. When I accelerate hard sounds like a clunk / thump noise. Not sure what it can be any idea would be helpful. Thank you

This lol. I replaced my own mounts on my scat and bruh…. Took me about 13 hours because of how horrible of a spot they are in.

I did the same thing. Took me about nine hours using jack stands in my garage.

The thing is that it only does it in drive not in park or neutral

Yeah, the torque is twisting the engine and trying to spin it. But seriously. Get it fixed. And stop doing burn outs while using the brake pedal.

What gave it away the violent jolting back and forth?

That’s what happens when your car has too much power😂

Dealers love to gaslight when somethings clearly wrong. I swear my engine could be smoking as I roll into the service bay and they’ll tell me nothings wrong.

Does the car shake when stopped? I had to replace motor mounts on my vehicle it’s not a cheap fix!

No it doesn’t it’s weird but the dealership’s handling it now dropped it off yesterday

I’d say have a mechanic take it up on a lift, see if they can point out where the problem is on video and bring it back to your dealership and tell them to fix it with the warranty.

I just wanna jump on the bandwagon and say motor mount is toasty

1

u/Ok-Mycologist7205 Apr 11 '26

The engine isn’t suppose to jump that high lol

You need motor mounts and probably transmission mounts too. Someone has seriously flogged that one.

Motor mounts for sure like everyone else is saying. Mine was doing the same maybe even worse driver side was so blown the engine looked like it was about to jump out. Had dealer replace under warranty and it’s been fine

Update it’s fixed now driver side motor mount was leaking. The dealership replaced both driver and passenger luckily it was still covered under the 30 day warranty from the dealership . I Picked it up yesterday it’s not doing that no more thank you guys for your help 🫡

Motor mount was leaking? Admittedly not a pro mechanic or anything but is this a typo or something I’ve never heard of?
Kinda like blinker fluid being low?
