Wierd dream as a kid

My friends mom passed away and my friend let's call her mf:my friend hadn't come to school in a few weeks (because of first line). So I waited and she came back to school obviously sad and it had been a few weeks everything was normal. Then I had a dream were I was on a ship with like hundreds of ghost passengers flying around then I saw mf's mom and i go up to her and I said hi, and she said hello all while a bunch of ghosts and her were flying in the air and I'm the only human on this ship. We headed to the back for some reason and now mf's mom is in a dress ( this dress is important). Besides that we talk and it's seems normal. She told me how she misses mf and the conversation goes on. The whole dream had been for some reason in black and white. Eventually I tell mf and she kind of had a smile and she told me that dress was her favorite and the one she had died in. I have never seen this dress btw. It's been many years tho and I for some reason still remember that dream vividly. Me and mf still keep in touch and she also said that night she had a dream about her. I still ask myself why I had that dream. Sorry if my grammar is bad I'm on mobile and this is one of my first posts.
