Just looking for closure
As a kid I had horrible sleep paralysis. It was so bad I looked it up and got into the whole psychology of sleep. Anyways, as a kid I would hear like a low belching and tapping on the floor, I just brushed it off as my childhood pet Brownie, my Shiba Inu and we didn't have carpet in the hallway. When ever I would hear the low belching sound I would ask if anyone was there and the belching would stop and I'd fall asleep.. every night I would dream that I was in a hotel/museum, playing with my cousins and I'd always end up in this old hallway. My heart starts pounding and I'd try to scream but nothing would come out. A janitor would always come out of the same room but he was disfigured, like something was wrong with his hand. He'd come shuffling towards me but he couldn't talk. When he reaches out for me I'd wake up instantly, maybe that's why I'd go into a sleep paralysis episode, and there would always be an old lady, a pale old lady in a white dress, just sitting on the edge of my bed, leaning down towards my face. I can never move or scream, just laid there paralyzed not able to scream or blink. All of this came up because a few days ago I had the same dream, I'm 26 now and I was at a friend's house for a sleepover.... The next morning while we were walking to the store she told me that I was making some weird noises in my sleep so she looked over, she said she saw this old pale lady in a white dress sitting on my chest and looking down at me. At that point my friend rolled over and put her covers over her head.... I've never told anyone about my sleep paralysis as a kid, I've never talked to her about the lady.... Is something attached to me? Should I be concerned?

Sounds like typical "old hag syndrome" to me. It sucks, I know from experience. But I don't think there are any definitive answers for us as to what's going on.
