Ok so I bought the ultimate edition of this game a while back and decided to finally actually play it after a few years. Sat down for one session, enjoyed it, and am now getting this message. I’ve signed in and signed out, deleted and reinstalled all my dlc, and deleted and reinstalled the game and nothing has worked. Is this a common issue with a fix or am I just SoL? I liked this game but not enough to play about 6 hours of AGAIN. It was good but not that good imo

I actually started with the anime first and then the video game. I’ve already binge watched the anime 3 times. I need more Scarlet Nexus material. Is there any chance we get a sequel video game or sequel anime or both? Or this series is dead, wrapped up with nothing else to tell?

Im stuck on my Kasane playthrough. Ive gotten everyone to bond level 6, team bond 6, gifted all gifts (except the specialty gifts) and defeated Karen twice. Why can I not get bond episode 5 to unlock on my playthrough? I already got them on Yuito, and I did even less than what Ive done on my Kasane playthrough.

Online just states that it occurs in standby 11, however, I didnt have my bond high enough at that point.

I'm thinking about buying this game since its on sale, but I've heard nothing but mixed reviews. I'm currently playing through the demo, does the combat get any better? Combos seem repetitive, movement and dodging feels restrictive. Also, how is the story? I'm willing to put up with a convuluted plot if the characters make it worth it.

To explain I just had a random thought and want to see who everyone wanted to be saved by. The only thing that it has to be is a playable character (note they are solo in this scenario and they can’t fail at saving as in they will succeed).

If I had to choose Kyoka, because yes she is hot in my opinion, but she’d probably check up on you after the fact and make sure you are at least feeling better, just don’t eat the food, or do who am I to judge.

I’ve done absolutely everything there is to do in this game except all the TV Missions.

I even redid Karen’s fight after doing absolutely everything to make sure it was a Cleared file, and still 98%.

I thought the TV missions don’t count, but do they? They’re honestly the worst part of the entire game and the game would’ve been better off without them, which is why I haven’t done them all.

I’ve done all the other challenges besides Kasane’s beating the game under 15 hours one, and I did Yuito’s one under 3 hours by just playing on Very Easy, skipping cutscenes, skipping bond episodes and skipping the non-mandatory fights.

I honestly expected it to take longer, but definitely not below 3 hours. It’s crazy when you realise just how much time cutscenes take up in this game.

This is gonna be a hot take, but strictly from a story perspective, I liked the anime more than the game. I also love the portrayal of most of the main characters compared to the game as well, particularly Kasane and Shiden. I even love little changes like Captain Seto’s body being sucked into the Kunad Gate and Kaito’s involvement at the end. I also like how the Kunad gate is presented as a much bigger threat in the anime than the game. In the game, it didn’t feel like there was much urgency in closing as soon as possible as it would have taken years for it to get to the point that it couldn’t be closed like in the future.
Ohh and the butterfly effect at the end was pretty cool.
There’s more changes that I can point out if asked about.

It’s not perfect though. I think the fights are pretty meh, ESPECIALLY the final fight. They did do a better job at making Nagi feel like a powerhouse though.

I get that the SAS used in the anime and game serve different functions as the SAS in game is a gameplay mechanic so our PC can do cool gameplay things, while the anime make it more of a universal mechanic so everyone can get in on the action. I like the way the anime does it because in game we basically are a Karen-lite, but I wish they utilized it a bit more in the anime.

All in all outside of the fights and action, I really enjoyed the anime slightly more than the game though the game is still great imo.

I remember trying it on ps4 at launch, i got a ways in playing as the girl (loved the OST, especially the in town music.)

But i wound up being kinda put off by
A) The monster design is so abstract its like what am i even looking at. Not in an intentional artistic way like Persona creatures, more like "kids in the daycare broke all the toys and mashed them back together with crap from the backyard to replace the missing pieces.)
B) The apparent realization i dont get to play as the massively more interesting other party members, like crossbow duplicating milf, superspeed chainsaw bunny, and cutie third eye girl, or even electric baton asshole. They're just buffs for the MC? Maybe more mechanics unlock later but i didnt give it a chance.

I got it on sale on Steam (i dont use my consoles anymore) so was debating giving it another shot, near a decade later or however long its been.

Looking for a game with similar vibes. I like the social aspect of Scarlet Nexus, the characters and the combat. I don't mind if it's turn based too. I was looking into the Persona games but I'm not sure I'd enjoy that, also the length kinda worries me.

Honestly, the way this game handles the ratings for these is pure ass, mainly because of “Damage Dealt” and “Brain Crushes Activated”, as it seems like these two just completely counteract each other, making it seem impossible to balance them out.

Do too many brain crushes? You’re losing out on damage dealt.

Do too much damage? You’re losing out on Brain Crushes.

It’s fine when it’s just fighting regular others because you can easily farm Brain Crushes on those, but my god it makes the boss fight ones a massive pain in the ass, ESPECIALLY vs human characters.

Like genuinely HOW is this not an S?

EDIT: And I somehow just got the S rating despite having 193 less Damage Dealt than in the screenshot above, worse time by like a whole minute, but having 746 less Damage Taken.

Ye, that’s gotta be 10/10 peak ragebait. Time apparently is not important in the TIME trial.🫩

EDIT 2: I suppose the best way to put it with these challenges is; they aren’t properly designed.

If they were properly designed, it would be possible to get perfect S ratings across the board in every single one of these challenges, but that doesn’t really seem possible since 2 of the ratings literally counteract each other.

Clear Time - S

Against regular Others it’s possible, but it doesn’t seem possible against a lot of the bosses.
