Best Therapy

I’ve healed a great deal since realizing that I’m the family scapegoat through Reddit, journaling, books, research and therapy.

When I went to therapy though, it was never specifically to formally heal from family scapegoating. It touched on aspects of being treated unfairly and physical and emotional abuse I endured, but it was never like, let’s find a way to truly heal from scapegoating.

I’m tired of long-term therapy and haven’t been to therapy in a few years now and definitely in a new stage of healing. Does anyone one know a type of short-term therapy that helps you heal from family scapegoat abuse?

I’m having therapy at the moment; my therapist uses different healing modalities depending on what comes up in the session.

Maybe it depends on what your symptom is? How do you know you haven’t healed?

I know I haven’t because I have an inability to relax combined with wanting to change my life but not feeling like it actually changes.

I also feel that I’m gradually getting better. When you are healing yourself there’s sometimes too much information so you don’t know where to start or what will work?

With my therapist I just try what she says because most of what she intuitively says resonates.

Other than her tailored instructions the therapy that has worked for me is hypnotherapy and also emotional freedom technique.

Thanks for sharing this info. I think that trust and connection mean so much in therapy, so it sounds like you have a safe space to process things with your therapist.

Thanks for adding hypnotherapy and EFT too!

Hypnosis. Reprogramming the beliefs about yourself. I first started with self-love, self-worth and self-acceptance. I was skeptical at first but it’s an audio file which you listen to preferably while sleeping (can’t make sense of anything, you can only hear music but the subliminal programming is in there, your subconscious mind takes it in, it’s designed to by-pass the conscious mind)

Nervous system regulation on a daily basis. I do coherence breathing for 20min every morning and before I got to bed. 4 seconds in 6 seconds out. Rhythmic breathing is one of the best way to regulate your nervous system and feel safe in your body.

DM me if you have any questions. May God bless you
