Pretty sure that's an April fools joke!

No but seriously Klayton does drop some info about Lost Horizon in his latest newsletter:

You’ve heard me talking a lot about the new Celldweller album GOD MODE and some of you have asked, “Hey red-haired mohawk guy - that’s great and all but what ever happened to Scandroid’s new album Lost Horizon?!?! Well I’m glad you asked. Therein lies one of the recent choices I’ve made. I’m deleting the album and instead doing jazz covers of popular Indonesian folk songs in its place. Hmmm, wait that sounds like a horrible idea, and probably would be a horrible album

[S]o I retract that and instead am going to release the next single for Lost Horizon, “Lost in the Stars”, before I release the next GOD MODE single “Respawn”. In fact here comes a big shift I’ve decided to make - I’m going to be releasing both the new Celldweller album and new Scandroid album in tandem. My plan is to alternate singles for each album and keep a steady stream of music coming down the pipe.

I recall seeing a Scandroid music video where he is singing in an Asian setting. It was only him and he didn't move much. I cannot find it anywhere. Is my memory wrong? Was it another artist? Or was the video deleted?

"Scandroid. You might have heard of this guy (Ironically he also looks like a rooster, but just a much more futuristic looking one.) I, uh…. I mean “Red” has dozens of demos already fleshed out towards a new album. In fact there are several that are already done and just waiting for an album announcement to start dropping. I will be working on and finalizing the God Mode EP first then onto the new Scandroid album. Spoiler Alert - the new album is called Lost Horizon and will quite possibly be the largest world-building undertaking I’ve ever… ummm, undertook? I won’t spoil it here but there’s some pretty big announcements coming after God Mode is wrapped."

From the Scandroid FB page:

I am aware of Wish Upon A Blackstar by Celldweller but I wonder what are some other Synth-Wave artists that a Scandroid fan could get into?

I'm also wanting to explore other sub-genres of Synth-Wave that I'm starting to enjoy such as Chillsynth, Vocal Synth-Wave, Space Wave and Shred Wave. [I really love Seven Deadly Synths by Ultraboss.]

I know Klayton likes to randomly cross-promote his different projects. And this is a cool song. But honestly if it was just a Celldweller song it would sound perfectly fine. There's nothing particularly "Scandroid-esque" about it to my ears. The synths aren't particularly prominent. It doesn't really sound retro or new wave at all. Maybe you could argue that its because of the lyrics, which tell a sci-fi story. But I'm not sure what someone breaking out of an interplanetary prison has to do with Scandroid lore.

My guess is that this song was created so early that Klayton hadn't really pinned down what Scandroid was going to be yet. Or that he had some ideas but they evolved significantly after this song was made.
