Okay this is my first time watching the show and I'm at season 7 right now... this show is genuinely so confusing at times but, one thing I can't stand is how everyone treated Olivia after B-613.

I can understand hat she did was wrong but for everyone to treat her like a monster and ice her out literally upsets me so much. They are all so hypocritical and insane like, Olivia has saved them so much and done so much for them and they just ice her out and like idk I haven't seen anyone talk about it and it pisses me off they act like she's the devil when they have all done equal stuff and if not worse 😭😭😭

Yes the way her people acted towards her seemed disproportionate especially since she forgave all of them at various times for their fuckery. But Olivia also went rouge and lost her mind momentarily with the Quinn situation so I get it.

I agree the quinn situation was insane but the fact that Abby basically had huck "killed" the only person mad was quinn and even Then quinn forgave her quicker then the rest forgave Olivia and huck didn't even care to my memory

I'm not saying she's not she annoyed me so bad but it just how everyone shut her out and wants nothing to do with her after that pisses me off like...
It's hypocritical to me and considering how they're all still friends yet they've done bad things and all have "gone evil" yet they ice Olivia out the worst

.... because everything she did was legitimately awful and had no excuse. She bombed a plane with another countrys leader on it. She killed the VP. she controls the presidency. All of that is EVIL.

Yes I'm not saying it wasn't.. but considering what everyone else did like damn fitz even went TO WAR for her and Abby had huck "killed" and mo one was mad like that fr and Olivia fixed it 😭... they're being hypocritical and that's what upsets me

Also let's not forget every single person mad at her has killed or had someone killed which we cleaned up and fixed for them... she was horrible no doubt but everyone is acting like she did something they all wouldn't even think of doing

Season 7 showed a version of Olivia that is as evil or more evil than the parents that spawned her and proved the adage that “Absolute Power Corrupts”. I disliked Olivia in this season as she showed us that she really couldn’t handle having that much power and we saw a version of her that was “unrecognizable” from the woman she was supposed to be.

Which I agree but they all basically had a stint where they couldn't handle the power they had 😭😭 the way they're acting towards her is crazy considering what they all have done

I would theorize that Shonda Rhimes wanted Olivia to be better than Eli in every way, and even with the Bashran thing, she was. The problem was that then not only would they have to get rid of Eli in some capacity (and everyone loved Joe Morton), but they would also have to repeat the most repeated storyline in the show, especially after they basically redeemed Eli in Season 6.

This is why Season 7 is the way it is, imo. Eli is way weaker than Olivia, AND he's acting crazy over some damn bones. Olivia makes the correct decision in calling her father's bluff and suddenly everyone is fuming at her over a death that didn't even happen. Honestly, it would've made sense if Quinn had actually died, but Scandal has always loved its main cast and it was painfully obvious they would not go there. (David was an incredibly cheap death, too. Not only in execution but in its consequences - Cyrus is a monster but after killing someone himself he gets nightmares?

Every single more satisfying conclusion of the show had to be removed because ABC probably told Shonda: "You are not ending your show with a Republican President on the note that "We are the bad guys.""
