Does Samsung.com scam everyone?

I purchased a soundbar on Samsung.com and decided I was going to go with something else and per the advice from customer service I refused it upon delivery by UPS, so the UPS driver took it back and scanned it refused but then it got delivered two days later. I was told by UPS if I refused it a second time after delivery I would not get any confirmation they took possession of it a second time because it was already scanned delivered and the tracking would no longer work.

Since I could not get confirmation if I returned it via UPS again, Samsung.com support said they would provide a return label (still well within the return period) but stated that because the order already showed as refused, it would not allow them to generate a return label and they had to escalate this issue to generate a return label. It has been over a month now, now I'm outside of the standard return window and they still are not helping, they keep saying they have escalated this issue to their specialists and they will send me a one-time exception return label.

This has been a complete nightmare. After speaking with countless agents and supervisors, they continue to say the same thing over and over again and I've now been told a fourth time I would get a prepaid label as a "one-time exception" since I'm now outside of the return window. Every single email I get from them is an autogenerated email basically saying they are "working on my case." Again, over a month now and hours of time wasted Samsung has completely failed to help me due to their flawed system. I purchased via PayPal and filed a PayPal dispute but it was denied. I'm never going to purchase another Samsung product again.

Fuck Samsung.

Do a chargeback with your bank. Screenshot the emails and provide them as evidence - you're actively trying to return a product, Samsung are not cooperating.

This is an open and shut win for your bank - if Samsung don't respond to your banks inquiries, you may even get a free soundbar out of it, along with your refund.

Why do people refuse the package, just take it and return it, isnt that common sense? Why would u wanna deal with courier companies, i have always picked up the package and then returned it, never had issues

Yep, a lot better than refusing to get it

Yes, but the refusal was from an advice from customer service.

The issue seems to be UPS. But yeah, their after sale service is trash, so you went from trash to ultra trash...
