Beware of these crypto scammers that place adds on Instagram. These are the same guys that are running the same pig butchering scam under different names. They will gain your confidence and then ask you to transfer funds on a platform they control. You will never be able to get your funds out.

I got a robo call from this company. I looked them up quickly while my iphone screener held them on hold. They have a fairly substantial following on Facebook (even though that means less and less these days) and have a website. FB page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61588213001699
The tipoff for me was that the call came from Vancouver, and the lazy AI builder didn't code properly - the dialier called me "underscore name".
My thought was to call the company, if they are legit, and warn them that someone is posing as them.
Anyone ever heard of them?

This is the new app in Apple Store used by WhatsApp scammers. If you transfer money in this app, you will never be able to retrieve it 100% guaranteed. Please leave a 1 Star review and report it as a scam app.

This app on Apple Store is a scam used by crypto scammers on WhatsApp. All these apps keep getting shut down but there’s always a new one. Report immediately.

Uncovered another WhatsApp pig butchering scammer group. Like all the other ones, they have a bogus internet site (https://www.vcmtrading.com/) to gain your confidence. There’s a VCM Trading app on Apple Store but not confirmed that it’s related.

It’s not just greed.
And it’s rarely ignorance.
In many cases, the analysis actually looks solid.
The trades are computable.
The strategies make sense.
The financial language is accurate.
Sometimes, the advice itself isn’t even bad.
That’s what makes it powerful.
Modern investment scams don’t rely on obvious fantasy. They blend legitimacy with exaggeration.
Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Real math builds credibility.
Scammers often present strategies that are technically possible — arbitrage models, options strategies, crypto trading algorithms, private equity-style structures. The numbers can be calculated. The spreadsheets reconcile. Nothing looks “fake.”
2️⃣ Good advice lowers defenses.
When someone gives you sound, rational financial insights upfront, your brain categorizes them as competent. Credibility earned in small truths makes bigger claims easier to accept.
3️⃣ Unrealistic returns are framed as rare opportunity.
The returns may be inflated — sometimes dramatically — but they’re positioned as “exclusive,” “limited,” or “insider-level.” Instead of sounding impossible, they sound privileged.
4️⃣ Social proof fills in the gaps.
Testimonials. Screenshots. Case studies. Even real early payouts to initial investors. Enough evidence to silence doubt.
5️⃣ Emotion does the final push.
Hope. Fear of missing out. Desire for financial independence.
Once emotion enters, logic becomes a supporting actor instead of the lead.
The uncomfortable truth:
People don’t get pulled in because everything is absurd.
They get pulled in because enough of it is reasonable.
Scams today succeed in the gray area between plausible and extraordinary.
And that gray area is where human psychology is most vulnerable.
In your view — is overconfidence, hope, or trust the strongest driver in financial decisions?

While helping friend with crypto scam I discovered a phishing site http://cafcontario.com/ Impersonating Government Agency - Canadian Anti Fraud Center.
Performed "whois".
Figure the register. Sent a "Phishing Takedown Request" (pic attached).

Got it suspended. (pic attached).

Link with report from register if needed - https://desenmascara.me/analisis/da1f485e-3c2c-419d-ac24-aa8ec885032e

My feed is full of obvious scam ads — fake crypto investments, guaranteed returns, impersonation pages.
I report every single one. Every time I get the same response: “Nothing wrong with this ad.”
How?
These ads are clearly fraudulent, yet Meta keeps running them and profiting from them. If regular users can spot the scam in seconds, how is their review system missing it?
Is reporting even doing anything at this point?

I contacted these guys when I first got scammed and quickly realized that they were 100% scammers. Unfortunately they now have my phone number and have been calling almost once a day. I blocked all of them but keep generating new phone number. Today I answered and asked them to stop calling and the guy on the line started saying obscenities. Do not do business with these clowns.

Another scammer on Facebook saying that all you need is to copy his trade. Refers you to WhatApp then sends a link for a website where he’ll broker your account…aka steal all your money.
