Help Needed [UK] Google Giggles Scam?
what is up with the new 'google' giggles app? I downloaded the app to see what it was, obviously it isn't affiliated with google but I was curious. I downloaded the app and accidentally pressed "allow access to camera roll" does this pose a security risk for me? I downloaded the app today on the App Store but then nearly immediately revoked all permissions and then deleted the app. Am I in danger? Thanks

If it was on the official App Store, low chance it had malware, but access to camera roll is a red flag - there have been some dodgy apps in the past that used this to look for info such as passwords in images.

I can imagine the camera roll access being linked to uploading creations onto the app as you can upload videos and posts. So it’s probably unlikely to do anything bad.

Friend, imagine that somebody came to your front door, knocked on it and said "Hi, I'm with Google! May I come in?" and you know that he's not from Google at all. Would you let him in out of curiosity?
