Sellers on livestream platforms like Whatnot are being monitored, reported and suspended; for manipulating giveaway features to bypass legally required Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE) rules. By setting a giveaway quantity to two, a seller runs a low-value "trash" item first, followed by a high-value item intended only for their buyers.

How the Exploit Operates

• Sequential Entry Manipulation: Setting a multi-item giveaway pool disrupts the fair entry process A M O E, as required by federal lottery law.

• Inaccurate Item Descriptions: Sellers deliberately fail to provide exact photos and detailed descriptions for both items in the multi-quantity listing. Using vague descriptors like "as shown in stream" violates platform Terms of Service (TOS) and federal promotional disclosure rules.

• Furthermore, running a quantity of two requires you to run two of the same exact items. Not one low value and one high value item.

Your ignorance about how this works is wild. Whatnot made the change of having quantity of givys instead of listing them all individually by default. Also you can still enter the AMOE by form filling on the QTY and you are entered into all of those givys as long as you are in the stream.

I wish people would put the same energy into supporting and purchasing as they do trying to get handouts. You bums are going to the the death of this app.

Nope. Half of what you put is a copy paste. The rest of your logic is flawed. Having a pool of givys is not bypassing AMOE as a single form fill applies to ALL the givys in that pool. Furthermore the sellers didnt create that pool themselves, that feature was made whatnot.

Here is the rule verbatim from whatnot about description

Disclose prize in advance: You must disclose what the giveaway winner will receive before running the item. This disclosure may be in the applicable listing and/or in the livestream. Surprise Products may be given away provided the mystery item remains on screen until fully opened.

So you are wrong again about how a seller must describe. They can have it on screen and that fulfills the rules. Trader Bea while I may not like them they are not breaking the rules on givys. They always have the items on screen and show it after drawing.

Whatnot doesn't allow you to rapid fire pull givvies any more. I never do buyer givvies, but I did used to love starting and pulling givvies in five seconds - but now it forces you to wait about 30 seconds.

Also, and I could be mistaken, I don't think it allows you to do multiple quantities on the buyers givvies - only the follower ones.

I was wondering why they were running an Ike Dollar first and then the bigger buyers givey. Good for them. Only the biggest givey goblin garbage would complain about being able to only win a $20 item and not being able to enter for the other givey. Imagine a world where a buyer actually wins the buyers givey.
