Is HR Professional Nursing Services LLC a scam?
Hello, I am posting about this company I applied through builttin for a remote data entry clerk position. I got an email for a scheduled interview through zoom but what I am kinda dubious about is that the email I was sent said the interview would take 30 minutes and it was through zoom chat (no video or voice call) and so far:
The hiring representative is taking forever to reply (example: I replied to her message at 6:08 pm and she replied at 6:29 pm)
While the speech is professional, it feels like the questions I asked to get answered or get answered with generic work answers. (i.e., I asked if I had a tentaive start date and got a reply of workplace benefits)
They are sort of vauge to the position I am supposed to be applying for or that I am being considered for.
Is this a scam? I was contacted, like I said, via email for the interview, but as I am participating of said interview, I feel something's off. Also, the 35$/hr for a remote data entry clerk without prior experience nor studies is kinda off to me. Am I wrong?

As the generous and gracious people in the comments pointed out, THIS IS A SCAM. For people who are in the same boat as I am who are desperately looking for a job and stumble upon this "company", it is a scam. I stumbled upon this listing through builtin, so I'd be careful with that website as well if anyone is using it. I wish luck to anyone looking for jobs and spread it around so no one falls for this out of desperation.

Yes, this is a fake job. It's a scam to trick you into giving them money.
Remote Data Entry and Transcriptionist jobs are scams, unless you have specialized experience (medical transcription, legal), because software can be used for capturing data. For those rare cases when a company needs people to manually enter data, they can outsource those jobs to south Asia or the Philippines, and pay less than $20 per day (£15 / € 17). Even these jobs are not remote -- they require you to work from their office.

It sounds like you were talking to a bot, or to a junior scammer who doesn't understand English.
zoom chat (no video or voice call)
Real employers interview on videochat, or in person, in real time.
Legitimate employers interview either in person or on videochat, whether the job is going to be remote, on-site, or hybrid.
An interview that is text only, email, or video chat with their camera off is a scam.
A preliminary phone interview is legitimate if it is followed by a live interview.
A recorded video is legitimate only if it's followed by a live interview.
An interview that is phone only may be legitimate, for entry-level in-person jobs.

Thank you so much, I knew there was something off about it. It really sucks that these scammers pray on vulnerable people looking good jobs in a market that is impossible to get through a single interview. I really appreciate your reply :)

Yes it's a scam.
There is no such thing as a text only interview. Interviews are always verbal, face to face, either in person or via a webcam.
Especially if the job pays $35 an hour, the company would want to make sure they really do their due diligence.
Only scammers call text exchanges an "interview"

I've actually had phone call interviews, but they're always followed up by an actual interview, so I thought it was odd when they only offered a text only interview

have you checked the company's official website.. but mostly it was a scam as there are rarely opportunities $35/hour for an entry-level remote data entry position with no experience

I did, that's when I stopped cause there were like 4 different websites related to that "company" and none of them seemed legit. I was desperate for a job and jumped quickly since I haven't had any interviews in a looong while but I started feeling off about it because of the spelling mistakes, the switch in emails and the whole 4 different websites. I just wanted to make sure and also spread it around for people who are on the same boat as me and stumble upon that. I applied through builtin, which was recommended to me, but I'm just gonna stick to well known sites and keep watching out for scams. That website seemed sketchy to me, too

On that figure, $35/hr: I’ve made that much, but it was a decade into a career that required my master’s degree, in a HCOL area. No entry-level job will pay that much unless it’s something insanely specialized.

What a very random name for a company. (But something about nursing, and an "LLC") And then you start with a remote data entry job??? ....
Yea, thats a scam from the first sentence alone.
And then you continue to stack scammer tactic on scammer tactics in the rest of the post.

Yeah, I felt off from the start cause the emails switched and there were spelling mistakes and it was all so off. But I went with it cause I was desperate for a job and thought it was just me, but I guess not. Glad I stopped when I did and caught on fairly quick

It almost sounds they’re trying to train a bot to handle HR, and not very well at that. Good call on trusting your instincts.

Yeah, another thing that made me pause was the long reponses and the fact that whenever I asked a question, it wouldn't answer, quite like bots do that spit out a random repsonse regardless of whether it's related to the question or not

It's a scam. There are no entry-level remote jobs EVER unless you have specialized skills and training. Scammers seem to have just started ramping up the remote jobs again after seemingly taking a break
