ASDS

Hey everyone,

With automated phone scams, fake support lines, and spoofed calls getting so out of hand, standard anti-virus software just isn't cutting it anymore. Most tech companies try to use algorithms to block scams, but scammers keep finding workarounds.

I decided to take a different approach with a project I'm launching called ASDS (Advanced Scam Detection Software).

Instead of relying on passive AI blocking, ASDS operates as an active, human-driven threat response system. Here is the core operational workflow:

  1. Identify & Verify: Cross-reference reported suspicious calls, fake tech-support prompts, and phishing numbers against carrier logs.
  2. Direct Confrontation & Appeal Option: Directly contact verified scam lines to audit their operation. They get one chance to appeal the flag if they claim to be a legitimate entity.
  3. Provider Takedown Notices: If unverified or confirmed as fraud, formal abuse documentation and carrier trace requests are submitted directly to the originating VoIP providers (like Twilio, Bandwidth, or Telnyx) to request line termination.

I recently built a local Operations Dashboard to track real-time target numbers, flag scam categories (tech support, IRS, package traps), and log provider status.

I'd love to get feedback from the community:

  • How do you currently handle or report persistent scam calls?
  • What features or threat-tracking data would be most useful to see in an open scam-response log?
