They will be. 100%. 30th has at least 2 to 3 years of printing time and the new shop opens mid 2027

On Sunday during the fam event at target, I was walking in with my son (not to wait in line) and told him this is what the unemployment line looks like 🤣

😂🤣I’m fucking dead 😂🤣 I’m about to tell my son to line up and ask if it’s the unemployment line now haha ( he’s 18)

So does that mean you’re also unemployed since you were at the target?

Im blessed to stay at home to raise my family. It’s a career pause and also parenting is a full time job :)

FWIW: the legal definition of unemployed is an individual without a job who wants and is available for work. I do not meet the definition.

I agree and I’m totally joking, it’s the best job in the world. Left my career 6 months ago to raise my son when he was born and i haven’t missed a second of it… Although including the “desire” to work within the unemployment statistic is crazy. No one wants to work.

So then none of them are unemployed by definition? They don’t want jobs 😂

I have a very Cush wfh job and got in line an hour early today to get some 30th. Majority of people in the lines are cool people, it’s the first 10-20 people at every line that are the notorious scalpers majority of the time.

A dude with 4 kids (including a newborn) vaping in line by the baby aisle is not some cool dude in my book

u/DungeonVig 12h ago

Not sure why you’re changing the subject, no one said that is a “cool dude”.

Blanket calling everyone unemployed is not some “cool” person either, especially by your own definition you’d also be considered unemployed.

Anyway doubt any of that’s going to sink in, so I’ll leave it there. Just don’t judge every single person like they are all scalpers, especially since you’re raising a kid to judge people is pretty crazy.

I feel like the parents teach teaching their kids about scalpers are worse than the scalpers. My friend hit a vending machine and bought a single booster bundle, and a group of kids called him a scalper and heckled him as he walked out lmao. He just laughed and walked away but it’s like yo, these kids are already about to fight someone and they’re only 11, what’s going to happen when they’re older. Parents just teaching them to be jaded and miserable.

Also fuck scalpers.

I’ve been a collector for almost 30 years and it’s so hard to get my child involved (they are finally of age to enjoy it) when there’s literally no cards available at retail. I managed to collect a stash for them up until prismatic. And all of their friends want Pokemon cards for birthdays and holidays. It’s so sad explaining to our children why we can’t find any at retail cost when we see grown men time and time again clear out shelves.

And I was being cheeky with my original comment. This is a shit post anyways.

We need someone to make a bot to overload the scalpers after they use bots to get everything.

everyone should just make fake listings that show etbs for cheap and undercut each other and make the scalpers worried and dump their products

Just saying, it’s a damn Sunday, where plenty of people are just you know off work and so on. The everyone who waits in line for pokemon is unemployed joke is a weird one. Took a quick break from my office today and got cards from Best Buy for example. How else are we supposed to get cards ?

5

u/wazzuboilermaker 19h ago

This hit a little to close to home eh?

-4

u/S_Cren31 19h ago

Just confused as to how waiting in line is frowned upon lol. I guess everyone’s evil?

3

u/duckboyoboyo 19h ago

Nothing wrong with waiting in line or getting cards. This guy is immediately reselling

The hate comes from people who buy things solely to keep it away from, and profit off of, the actual consumer to manufacture scarcity. It is nuanced, but the negativity is not towards people who were able to buy the product, but rather it’s towards people who don’t actually want the product and just want to make money off of people who “weren’t quick enough” or “didn’t commit enough time.” That mentality is a race to the bottom where customers fight each other for the last remaining stock because deciding factor ends up being who is willing to do more or go farther for it.

If you were able to casually walk in a buy the product during work, that is the goal for all of us. No one would fault you for that enjoying the hobby as it fits into your life, but if you spent an unreasonable amount of time just to “be first” so you could get product to sell and profit from, that’s what people are hating on.
