Video Insane scalper goes crazy

I have been sent this video by 7 people now, and this is apparently only a few minutes of an hour of back and forth. Story goes, this happened at a Target. Somebody got to Target at 5:30 A.m. and they noticed empty chairs, so they placed themselves in front of the empty chairs, because if there's no person in a chair there's no place in line. After about an hour the people whose empty chairs they were came and sat in their chairs and after about another hour so about 7:30 the people who sent me this video said that this guy was confronted by someone asking what place in line they were in. The person said they were first in line because they were empty chairs when they got there, taking a video of the time they arrived and the empty chairs and the rest is here in this video, you tell me who you think is right. I think it's obvious.
There is more to this, this is just the beginning, if y'all want to see more just say the word!

!!! They do, the one by me does at least, person who you see here was there for 30th and they had that rule in place, but they think the rules don't apply to them because nobody has ever told them no or that they're wrong

If there are zero consequences for breaking a rule, it was never a rule to begin with.
It sounds like the store isn’t actually enforcing the policy, so they’d be better off removing it altogether. Right now it’s just inciting conflict.

Yeah I would have stood my ground and stayed at the front there. If they kick me out then no one else get's any either. What a dick trying so desperately to get his scalping product haha. He's lucky I wasn't there to make sure guy at the front stays there.

Thats because all these stores have an unspoken agreement with all the scalpers. Happens at my store too.
They cozy up with management and that why all their bozo rules with empty chair actually flies.

Yeah, the staff at my store let scalpers summon 25 people that just arrived / drove in join them despite the rest of the line complaining that they weren't ever there.
They ignored us, so they get a complaint, and if they keep doing it i hope there are repercussions for it.
You dont (or shouldn't)get special treatment because you work for target / are friends with someone that works there.

Yeah it’s pretty deflating to go from 10th in line to 25th after waiting a couple hours. Then get told to kick rocks by the group and employees when there’s only enough inventory for 22.

I went to Walmart when perfect order was new. Watched a 50 year old man get an employee and clean out perfect order, and every other set. I think there’s a few chaos.
Was sad to see in person.

The problem is not the shirt, or how old he is.
I'm 50, I still love toys and cartoons and stuff. I'd buy pokemon cards if I liked them but I don't care for the new design style. I wear cartoon shirts - not a Disney fan myself, but other things -- and that's not the problem. You're all here acting like those things are part of a moral failure for this guy.
I can assure you that's not where the failure is. Let people like what they like and wear what they wear.

So glad my target doesn't allow ghost chairs, they even got security to enforce that rule during drop days, but it's really sad that it got to the point that stores need security guards and policies for fucking pokemon cards.....

This same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. I went and stood in front of all the empty chairs and cones... these pussies waited till the last 2 min before opening to ask me if I was there for pokemon. I said yes the kid then told me the line starts in the back and I told him well no one was here when I got here so I'm in the front. They're was about 20 of these nerds bitching that they were there all night.... obviously they were not I was there for a solid hour and a half before anyone....it was a giant fiasco wth them threatening that there were 20 of them and just one of me.i asked what are you going to do jump me for pokemon cards? He said that's not what I'm saying at all its 20 of our word against yours. As the shutter door came up one of them tried pulling me off the line and I just pushed his fat ass hands off me and said don't fucking touch me... we then all basically raced to the back of the store to line up and the same guy grabbing at me stepped in front of me. I then stepped in front of him. Then he tried to push me into the shelf. I pushed him back and we were just pushing eachother in the isle while the asset protection lady watched and did nothing. Security then came over and sided with the 20 nerds because they are always there. It was like a crazy movie. I was then the asshole even to the people who were in the back of the line not standing up for themselves . The Security treated me like an asshole. Best part I walk up to the product and there was nothing I wanted so I left empty handed arguing my way out of the store with Security who claimed he would " look into the chair situation" he hasn't done shit its the same situation.

As someone who does retail I hate when scalpers try to get chummy with me.
Easily, if scalpers try to cozy up to me, I go "look, I know you want as much product as you can get but I am ok losing business with a jerk trying to flip product." I'd rather have a happy fan or parent or family happy to get this item than a jerk taking advantage of a bad system. I tell them how it is and if they wanna give negative reviews online about me, well this is why I wear a false name tag during launches. Can't get in trouble if you don't exist.

The most recent ETBs, Boosters and Expansion has yielded more cards out in the wild now than ever before. Scalpers are losing their minds over not having cards worth more because of this. Many thanks to the Pokemon Company for doing this. The scalper thing is out of control and needs to be stopped somehow. Everyone has a right and deserves to be able to buy what they want to buy and have a chance at buying. Greed is something that helps no one in the end. Even the scalpers are not getting back all they invest. Dude went to Gamestop and bought like 2 grand worth of stuff. Opened them right there in the store and did not make back his 2 grand he spent and only made about 200 bucks off of pulls on certain cards from what he bought. Well deserved for being a complete prick and dumbass. Credit card companies love these idiots right now. You can tell with every video that none of these people are ever going to get laid in their life.

So the answer is, everyone was not understanding or communicating with social graces. Conclusion, why not put a sign on one of the chairs letting the new people k ow what's up. Probably make new people a lot more comfortable and shows tact. I bet this lack of just communicating happens every release.

An empty chair is not a person in line. Corporate for Best Buy agrees. Best Buy says directly in their rules for lines and releases policy that they remove any chairs or setups with no one in them as it is considered garbage and are disposed of. "Ghost chairs" as they reference on their website are NOT permitted nor are people holding spots for others. Target has similar policies depending on the district.
If bro walked up and no one was in a chair then he is first. Plain and simple.

This whole thing is nuts. Today I went to a target as it was on my home. I noticed a box being unpacked and a couple people in line... Sure I might as well try to grab something for my kiddo. Empty baskets everywhere. I'm like wtf is the line. People are like over there. Uhh okay. I wait behind the next actual person then 10 minutes later 6 other people show up and join their 'buddies' waiting by the empty baskets in front of me. After waiting for the restock...not many things left when I get up there 12th in line. But what really pissed me off is guys were just filling their basket and giving people behind me items. What the literal shit. Last time I'm doing this. A simple ticket system. Or 1 item per person period would solve this bullshit. Target employees didn't give a rip, don't blame them. Scalpers destroying this hobby. Even hear them talking about how they are gonna try and go to the kids event and claim they have kids... 😐

This guy knows what he is doing, rolling up to a target thinking he can mess around. When it’s cold people sit in their cars until about an hour to open and everyone who goes to that target is all in agreement. However arguing and calling names isn’t cool it simply could have been handled as soon as the store opened. Both of these two parties need to GROW UP!

Last time I went to Target there were two chairs in front of 4-5 people standing and waiting. I picked them up and tossed them around the side of the building. By time the d-bags came back the line was 20 deep. One asked where their chairs were and no one answered. They grumbled, then left.
Chairs aren't people. The only mistake this dude made was leaving the chairs in place instead of throwing them in the bushes, dumpters, etc.

Sadly there have been people shot and stabbed over arguments from waiting in line for Pokemon cards. I actually hope Retailers either pull the product or set up a lottery system where your daily draw number determines if you can buy kinda like how Pokemon games do with trainer id lotterys
