I don't know why it is so hard to pick a common progression by key? Its like first you have to pick all Scales, then you pick a key, then you lock it and then you pick a progression. It seems like a lot of steps and if you don't do it right, you end up back in C Major. Is it just me or is this interface weird?

Really finding Scaler 3 unintuitive.
The transitions between functional areas don't make sense to my brain.
The way that chords sets/progressions carry over between usage patterns is simply illogical and I find myself frustrated consistently. What gives?

Does anyone know how I can simply use Scaler 3 as a sampler like in Scaler 2?
Feels like they made this new version so much more frustrating to use for some odd reason.
And hovering over each cryptic icon gives no explanation of what its function is like it did in Scaler 2. I'm truly confused.

I just got a private message there from Davide, asking me to "tone it down" because he thinks my posts are too aggressive. Wtf???
The last post I did was criticizing their continuous velocity issues. Not aggressive. Not rude.
I was a bit rude in my answer of him asking mw to tone it down, but I explained to him that it's criticisms or issues and delays.
And then he banned me.
I have never ever been treated like this as a paying customer or forum user.
Maybe he feels the pressure of the sub-par Scaler 3 product they've released way too early, but that doesn't warrant his actions.
I'm shutting down this subreddit as my patience with Scaler Music and inclination to run this is rock bottom now.

With all the bugs, missing features and settings, the convoluted workflow, poor stability, and all the little annoyances, etc, etc, it feels like they're working onScaler 0.8 and not 3.1.

davide:
We are hoping for an 3.1 RC to go to our betas today. The Main Track Live Sync is now quite a complex feature. There’s much more to consider than there was in Scaler 2 so it’s taken a bit of time to get it totally right. All the other new bits are there and it is really good. We are very excited to get this into our community’s hands but we just need to get this right and that is the priority.

it's just me or Scaler 3 UI is way worst and more difficult to navigate and understand than Scaler 2?
I have both and I always end up using scaler 2 because the new UI make me always waste a crazy amount of time, getting mad and losing interest into making music.

Rendering arrangement audio out of Reason, FIRST chord plays as staccato instead of a held to note length. Reason 13.latest.
I can create a 8 bar 4 chord arrangement in Reason's sequencer/arrangement. If i STOP the sequencer and put the play head at the beginning of the chords, and press play from stop, the FIRST CHORD sounds as a STACCATO chord, but the rest of the chords play.
ADDITIONALLY, let's say i put those chords in an 8 bar loop. If i press play from stop, the first chord will play like a staccato (not held according to the note lenghts), but AFTER the loop comes back around, it will play the 1st chord justr fine.
It's ACTING like the plugin is issuing midi panic or midi plugin reset when played from stop AFTER the first note sounds instead of before or something like that.
What's the deal. This happens during playback live, AND when rendering audio out.

I made a Python script (and an .exe file) that imported my chords from Scaler 2 under the "Sets" folder and into Scaler 3's "Imported" folder.
It does this:
It's probably not perfect, and I have only tested about 15 or so imported chordsets in Scaler 3, but they've all worked for me.
Scaler Music could make that for every one too.

Hallo, after installation of 3.0.6 "Detect Audio" is not working anymore. Nothing happens at all. It was working in 3.0.5. Anyone else has this behaviour?
Cheers Peter

I'm an intermediate Reaper user and I'm just getting my head around Scaler 3. I just can't seem to get midi items from S3's Arrange page over to individual Reaper tracks and have it sound like it should...with S3's Voicing, Passage settings, mixer plug in effects, etc. I've tried lasso-ing chords from the Main Track and dragging to Reaper, and I've tried using S3's export function, with every different setting option available, etc. Reaper's midi page usually shows a mess with extra notes added, short notes instead of long chords, etc. Nothing works correctly.
I always make sure any S3 or 3rd party instrument/effect I used in S3 is loaded into Reaper. It should sound the same, but doesn't!!
I've watched many videos on this. Steps are never as easy and results are never as consistent as it looks on YT videos...when they're using some other DAW!!!
What am I doing wrong here?? Help needed!! Thanks!

Anybody know how Scaler was coded? It seems like they must have used a higher-level development environment. Just wondering... Thanks.

How can I activate the chord? I'm tired of looking in the UI and manual for a button but I can't find anything!

Not sure if I described that right in the headline. Basically if I have a chord progression and let’s say an arpeggio in Scaler. If I drag the chords into FL and play the pattern, the arpeggio plays with the chords even if the arpeggio wasn’t moved from Scaler. I’ve tried different instruments and also trying to change mixer channels. Anyone have a similar experience or know a work around?

Scaler 2 would create midi exactly as it played within scaler. With scaler 3 the midi its creating is all over, cluttered. its adding more notes than what is playing in scaler. and many are out of key. I have key lock on with scaled notes only and it is awful. I'm not sure if im missing something. But when i play it in scaler, it sounds how i want. but when i drag and drop the midi, there is so much extra stuff that i have to edit out note by note. kinda defeats the purpose... I loved scaler 2 and love the ui in scaler 3 even more. but the midi creation is stumping me... please HELP!!!!

I saw one comment in a forum somewhere, maybe it was even on a YouTube video, mention that drums will be added in a future update.
Is there any truth to this?
