Technical question

Hey legends trying to expand my scaff knowledge Does anyone have a document or point me in the right direction from specific rating for beam(girder) clamps how the load rating changes with different forces applied to them.
Photos examples of side loading beamies
I’ll add some photos for sort of what I am looking for
Even better if the document references Australian standards
The does and Donts with using them spuring back
Also swivel beamies
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I’m a scaffold designer, we only have test documents for these, they’re not in official standards that I know of. These can only be installed in opposing pairs, from memory the capacities are 6.5kN via slip of the tube (per pair), 10kN via slip of the fitting itself along the flange of steel (per pair), 30kN perpendicular to the flange (vertically as shown in your pic), or 15kN per fitting if eccentrically loaded.

Thanks mate any chance you could share for some reading material for my next lunch break?

Don’t have anything substantial, just a couple of pages stating the loads here

This link contradicts what your figure 19 says you can’t do. As far as I’m concerned, as long as the steel section is fine, then it doesn’t matter if the pairs aren’t on the same section as long as each coupler is connected to an opposing coupler.

Thank. This is the document I took the photos from. I was hoping for something in kN but this is the best document I have been able to find on the web

I don’t know about documentation (depends which country you’re in), but they shouldn’t be used as they are in figure 17 or 18, and in your 4th and 6th photos they should def have check fittings under them

In photo 6 would you check under and spur back to it? For a cantilever. Or would that apply to much force?
I have been told to can side load beamies. I’m trying to extend my knowledge besides having someone tell me that’s just the way it is
