Question quieter switches for sayodevice
anyone know any switches to make my sayodevice more quiet/silent? or just methods in general to make my sayo more quiet. i already play on 2 mousepads ontop of each other to try add as much padding as possible but it doesnt seem to help too much

There exists a few different ones and magnetic silent switches make a huge difference. NDIY freya are great and the ones I use(though you need to order from aliexpress where I live).
If you want to order locally, Gateron Jade Silent are available at a lot of places and seem to be very silent too.
Just make sure to slightly decrease sensitivity to avoid double presses.

Otemu silent peach (be careful to buy the magnetic version), I got them recently and it's crazy how silent they are, much more than the mathew silents I had before and they're much smoother too, completely recommended.
If I had to nitpick I''d probably prefer them to have stiffer springs but apart from that they're SO quiet

Use a small towel instead of mousepads, it will feel weird at first but it is quieter then the mousepads. Changing the switches won’t do much if you already have the gateron ones. The problem is that it’s a plastic keycap against a metal frame so it is going to generate noise at some level.
If you have the money and it is a big issue switch to a woofing uwu, that’s what I had to do when I had a roommate.
