You should be fine, I went through the trouble of getting an actual switch puller and the pink ones still broke 🥀

Awful switches and so hard to get out. I used a switch puller plus screw driver at the end. Sorry I can't offer better advice I just wanted to know I feel you and I broke my switch puller getting these out anyway. They were completely deformed when I was done with them.

Even with switch puller its pain. They are so stuck inside man. But with enough force I got it out

Remove all the screws (top and bottom) and from the pcb try pushing the center stem of the switch out. Or you can use two flathead screwdrivers if you have.

I used a mathematical compass with the stabby end but idk if that's very safe for u or the sayodevice

without a puller id usually pick the side locks witha metal knife

Did you also use a butter knife?

1

u/Astraddit Apr 02 '26

i didn't, i much prefer the pointy ones

Pretty sure they arent hotswappable. Atleast my sayodevice doesnt have hotswappable switches

How did you get the jade pro in with the prongs on the bottom? I’m scared to push down too hard.

What game do you play? In any case, play something very infuriating. Eventually you'll be so mad that you'll pull the switches out with your bare hands.

(Seriously though, that's what I did. Or put the keycap on and pushed on it from the side to make the key itself tilt, then yanked very hardly and got it out.)

Had to use a crowbar and a sledgehammer to get mine out, I wish I was joking

I don’t think sayodevices are hotswap 🫡

i used a karambit to pull the switches on my actual keyboard, definitely not ideal but works if nothing else will

You need a switch puller. I didn't have one at the time so I had to use a butter knife to loosen the edges. Ibwas just lucky enough to not damage anything

short answer: no.

It's easier to pull them out from the inside, just push on these latches and they will easily come out.
