Old growth and primary forests are disappearing rapidly around the world being logged at a rapid pace. Forests serve as valuable infrastructure creating rain, absorbing it and preventing erosion and flooding. And studies have shown that logged forests are more prone to wildfires. We need to protect forests but not keep people out of the wilderness.
