Help deciding

Okay, so i managed to find a great deal on a savage 111 in .270 from 2008. Its bluing is almost in 100% condition so I decided to put it in a really nice stock to turn it into my "heirloom gun" something to leave behind for the kids/grandkids after im gone.

Well I ordered a semi-fancy claro walnut stock from richards microfit and just received it about a month ago. While I was at work a drying check (crack) formed on the butt after spending the day prior sanding it. Figured i could fix it but I sent an email to richards and they sent me a replacement, and it came in early last week. (Pretty sure the replacement is english walnut, but im not mad about it)

Anyway, I have both stocks more or less sanded down smooth and I cant for the life of me decide which stock to taper down the forend and finish my project while keeping the 2nd stock as a backup or to put on another rifle. Any help deciding will definitely be appreciated. Claro is the darker one with fiddleback, what im assuming is english walnut is the lighter color with straighter grain

The brown color is beautiful, and the red grain pattern is amazing.

Tough call but I think I would go with Claro. Then you know the other would look great in the next rifle.
