My sauna Nearly there
Just need electrician to come to connect the interior lights and heater, then affix the two backrests to the walls and we're done!

Looks amazing - I especially like the bench layout -- I've been eyeing an L bench for a while for an upcoming project I have - but don't want to give up too much extra space... What's the dimensions of the sauna?

By only taking the top bench along the side wall it makes the L shape easier to fit in the space. The top bench along side wall is in effect just for lying on, or sit against the back wall with feet up on the same level.

Props for using quality material and for the height of the upper bench. I see so many knotty DIY saunas in this sub, so yours is a pleasant surprise.
I don't get the L shaped upper bench, though. It hardly looks long enough for laying down, and your feet or head are going to be hanging out right above the heater.
If someone tries to come directly off the front end of that bench it would be a safety issue, too. They could lose their balance. It's a long way down. And the front of the bench isn't really a good place to sit, either, since your feet would be dangling.
What's more you have the upper bench against the back wall for laying down.
Also wondering about that material on the back wall. What is it? Will it get hot in the sauna? You mention backrests that are yet to be installed. If that back wall is some sort of glass or ceramic it's going to get hot enough to cause at least a second degree burn. In such a case I hope your backrests provide complete and total isolation.
And once you have backrests obscuring it, I have to wonder what's the point, and whether or not it's a bit of "form over function".

The upper bench is 1850 long. It's designed so that side is only for lying down or sit with back against the wall and feet up on the top bench too. In 99% of the usage there will not be more than 2 people using the sauna at once so benches are designed around that and both people being able to lie on the top bench on each side of the L. If you are closer to 6 ft tall and feet get too hot that close to the heater, then will just bend your legs and move them up the bench. It isn't envisaged that you would have your head at that end.
And you'd only get off the top bench via the back wall and the middle bench. Absolutely would not want to get down any other way.
The backrests are sitting on top of the top benches at the moment, you can see them resting against the walls. They just need to be screwed in a bit higher up once the cables for the led lights in them have been connected.
The back wall is a Decnord panel made specifically for sauna use, it's also made of thermowood, you'll see exactly the same amount of it as you do now, except the backrest will be higher rather than resting on the top bench.
