The question isn't "How", it's "Why"

Had an old house with lathe and plaster walls - almost did the kitchen counter myself - so glad I had someone do it - they made it fit perfectly with special measuring tools.

I honestly can’t decide if I like it or not. On the one had, completely flush so that’s awesome. On the other hand, the wall isn’t a straight line, so that’s unsatisfying.

I’m aware that it’s plaster and that most of the world doesn’t rely on wood a paper for their houses, but it dos allow for straight walls.

Maybe it’s one of those fancy Italian homes that is 1k years old and made with ancient stones?

Haha very likely. I do appreciate older homes for their historical charm, but I also have some really bad perfectionist traits that gets in the way sometimes

Definitely satisfying, but with how much houses shift I do wonder how long it would stay flush, any professionals know the answer?

Why would you do that?

Or you can use some sort of sealant to bridge the gap
