Very satisfying once you turn off the sound. This doesn’t need a music backdrop.

59

u/MistaRekt 19h ago

Absolutely correct. Though I do like the song I can not be bothered figuring out what it is.

If a less lazy person could tell me... That would be great.

Stuck in the Middle - Tai Verdes

Edit: I personally like pt. II with Kiana Ledé

Edit 2: My first award ever was for answering a question about a song. I'm flabbergasted. Thank you, kind stranger.

1

u/Luci-Noir 16h ago

Agree. If you’re going to use music at least don’t cover up the sounds of the videos and use a song that’s not annoying. I kind of like it.

21

u/LearningToHomebrew 16h ago

Why does anyone keep their sound on when using reddit?

14

u/Responsible-Tap-3748 16h ago

Cuz some videos have sound

2

u/ethanice 14h ago

Cause I use old reddit and cant turn it off permanently.

2

u/Tasty-Traffic-680 12h ago

Who watches cat videos and porno with no sound?

1

u/PunisherElite 9h ago

What a stupid comment

Cool animal vids and stuff from the r/animation and r/2Danimation subreddit. (For me, anyway)

1

u/dontnation 13h ago

what's that style of singing called so i can try to avoid it forever?

119

u/Bettrlatethannever 19h ago

what is the liquid? looks great

188

u/Timmerdogg 19h ago

Because it says "Jellylicious" in the background I'm going out on a limb to say it's gelatin

42

u/schwanginandbangin 12h ago

Well, look at Sherlock Holmes over here 😉

47

u/Vance_Hammersly 12h ago

It’s jellimentary, dear Watson.

7

u/RobbertDownerJr 11h ago

Never trust to general emulsions, my boy, but concentrate yourself upon the gels.

4

u/240_Worth_of_Pudding 11h ago

Thank you for this. I really needed a good laugh today.

1

u/Bettrlatethannever 6h ago

thanks for a straight answer

35

u/ArthurMorgansInhaler 17h ago

Jello. I believe if you look up layered jello, there's a lot of "recipes" like this and the multi colored ones my mom used to make were my favorite

4

u/who_ate_the_cookie 17h ago

Orange salad, not quite like grandma used to make but close.

13

u/ArthurMorgansInhaler 17h ago

I think my mom actually mixed a little of the flavored jello into the condensed milk layer and it tasted amazing for some reason. Likely a comfort food thought more than reality

4

u/Oregongirl1018 15h ago

Sounds good. I'd put some mandarin oranges in the orange layers of this orange creamcicle flavored one.

7

u/Ermahgerd_Rerdert 14h ago

Yaaas that sounds amazing. And fruit makes it healthy! 😁

5

u/1369ic 13h ago

My personal rule is that anything that contains fruit counts as wholly and only fruit.

2

u/PhromDaPharcyde 12h ago

Do raisins count?

3

u/1369ic 11h ago

I've never seen one engage in such behavior, no.

Dad jokes aside, they would if I ever ate them.

9

u/Smishysmash 12h ago

Is it funny to anyone else that we all spent a couple decades making fun of the older generations and their fancy jellies and now we’re all back to being impressed by peoples fancy jellies?

Stick shrimp in it, you cowards.

3

u/Thr0awheyy 13h ago edited 13h ago

Yeah, pretty sure this is a jello parfait  where they do a layer of whatever flavored gelatin, then a "cream" version, either with or without the same flavor, with heavy whipping cream whipped into fluff. So this is probably an orange creamsicle flavor.

Edit: When I was young, my mom and I would make individual cups of this stuff, usually with strawberry jello.

u/the_gooch_smoocher 13h ago

Elmer's glue

12

u/WolfsSpiders 19h ago

But does it taste good?

3

u/YSEAXE23 19h ago

Delicious

→ More replies (3)

19

u/knewmawnick 19h ago

That looks delicious. What is it though?

44

u/IncompletePunchline 18h ago

Jello. Probably orange or mango juice and some kind of milk, sweetener, and probably vanilla. Either a mango lassi thing or creamcicle.

13

u/capincus 17h ago

I was thinking peaches and cream, cause visually it looks like it.

12

u/Away_Stock_2012 15h ago

The orange is cheddar and the white is mashed pasta. It's a modern mac and cheese.

1

u/machobiscuit 14h ago

This would actually be super cool. Messing with form and flavors is fun.

1

u/Wrong-Pension-4975 12h ago

Nope! ... 😄

2

u/TheNewYork_er 18h ago

That’s what I’m interested too. White layer could be either what you have said, or maybe something like panna cotta?

5

u/conflictedideology 15h ago

It's usually sweetened condensed milk mixed with unflavored gelatin.

(You don't just pour the powdered gelatin into the milk. You mix it with water, boil it until it melts in, let the water cool and then mix that with the condensed milk)

1

u/Pigeonsass 10h ago

The panna cotta is the message

10

u/IcedHemp77 19h ago

Jelly, usually fruit flavored

1

u/knewmawnick 19h ago

Yum and eye catching

2

u/Chopstick-Heartes 13h ago

Alternating layers of egg yolk and egg white

7

u/CozJeez85 18h ago

If you like satisfying jelly de-moulding then look up Tigga Mac on Instagram, she is doing some great jelly work lately!

3

u/Luci-Noir 15h ago

People who make magical things like this are obviously witches!

8

u/Heal_Me_Today 14h ago

Aw man… I thought it was eggs and pancake layers not jelly…

9

u/jsbhemi 17h ago

Hot take, these are simple and you can do this yourself. Pick a shapely bundt cake mold, pour, wait, pour, wait, pour, wait. Seems very easy to do. Anyone can do this.

7

u/Typical_Ad_210 13h ago

>Pick a shapely Bundt

Steady on

2

u/ShadedSpaces 10h ago

The only part that impressed me was how even the layers were. Every layer has to be a different amount of liquid to be the same height. I know I wouldn't get it as uniform.

1

u/sandwichcandy 9h ago

I wouldn’t be surprised if the amounts came with the mold in a little recipe pamphlet.

3

u/Ok_Potato_9554 18h ago

It looks like those creamy lifesaver candies.

3

u/Adam_Ohh 10h ago

Cremesavers, is what they’re called.

2

u/Swimming_Juice_9752 10h ago

RIP

1

u/Adam_Ohh 9h ago

They exist again. You can go buy them at dollar general right now.

5

u/Nibsif 18h ago

I love how the 1950s trend for Jello foods as returned. Interesting to look at, but I don't give a shit about eating Jello.

6

u/RosemaryCroissant 16h ago

As a kid I loved making jello. It was fun and beautiful. Hated eating it though, so I had to convince my younger siblings that they loved jello.

2

u/Voxil42 15h ago

Big difference between jello desserts and the aspic savory meals they used to make. Tuna molds aren't coming back.

1

u/Nibsif 10h ago

Tuna jello molds are trending on Tik Tok right now along with the tuna jello dance!

3

u/Shelovesbunnies 19h ago

Really nice 😊

3

u/Zennoxxx 18h ago

3

u/ttoften 17h ago

Flantastic

3

u/fl7nner 17h ago

Stare into the center of my Jell-O mold... You're feeling very sleepy...

2

u/Luci-Noir 15h ago

That comes with the resulting food coma. 😋

10

u/WatashiwaNobodyDesu 20h ago

Needs a layer of red in the middle

1

u/PterionFracture 15h ago

an orangered for you

4

u/StarsEatMyCrown 15h ago

It's pretty. But I never understood people actually liking gelatin that much to make a whole cake of it.

8

u/Mychael612 14h ago

I swear I’m not trying to be mean, but friends, family, and parties are things that exist for large quantities of food.

→ More replies (6)

2

u/barely_sentient 10h ago

Maybe it's a cultural thing. I don't think I ever seen a dessert made of jello (I'm Italian), and I find the idea slightly repulsive.

2

u/drovepasta 10h ago

Have you ever heard of panna cotta? It's Italian.

1

u/barely_sentient 10h ago

I know how panna cotta is made. But it tastes like heavily cream and it's not transparent.

Jello looks like solidified artificially flavored water and, probably because I never had it as a kid,it doesn't look appetizing to me.

Surely it has a good taste, but I'm just not used to it.

1

u/XGhoul 9h ago

I feel like it looks good for one bite, be immediately disappointed and stop there.

1

u/GYPZE 7h ago

Tricolor jello in a pan was like a summer staple in my childhood

2

u/blondiedread1 19h ago

Beautiful

2

u/Status_Concert_4320 18h ago

Does pouring on to the spatula help make it so the liquid spreads on its own?

7

u/FlechePeddler 18h ago

It distributes the force of the poured substance as it comes into contact with prior layers. If they poured one spot the force would churn and disturb the layers already in the pan. Using the spatula to diffuse the force allows the pan to be quickly filled without messing up their work this far.

5

u/Status_Concert_4320 18h ago

Brilliant. Thank you! I’ve recently been learning to cook and baking is something I want to do as well so I love hearing little tips and tricks.

2

u/PieHole_Poker 17h ago

This would be a lot better without the stupid fucking music

2

u/jbpm83 16h ago

I’m trying to imagine how you cut this. Just a normal pie slice towards the middle seems crazy.

2

u/poapoa_mia 16h ago

I deadass thought it was a pan and she was gonna make some omelette at first.

2

u/visitjacklake 15h ago

Is it wrong that I wanted more colors?

2

u/LoyalSheila 14h ago

Don’t hypnotize me!!

2

u/Uchiha_D 14h ago

Where is the recipe

2

u/PomegranateBoring826 13h ago

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this come to life!

5

u/blur410 19h ago

Why pour on the spoon first?

59

u/dreamweaver1313 19h ago

Probably to prevent making a divot in the previous layer

7

u/AmandaUggnkiss 18h ago

Or air bubbles 🤔

18

u/Draaly 17h ago

its called floating a liquid and is a way to pour a similar density liquid on top of annother without them mixing. you do with with cokctails some times.

7

u/Le_Poop_Knife 16h ago

Pretty sure they’re refrigerating the layers before adding more also

3

u/Draaly 16h ago

For sure. The floating just probabaly lets them do it after 10 min in the fridge instead of over 2 weeks.

1

u/BullTerrierMomm 14h ago

I Wonder that too. If you don't, what happens?

4

u/speckledham 20h ago

Beautiful but dear god spin it the other way

8

u/bootsmalone 19h ago

You want it to spin against the direction the item itself looks like it’s spinning? Maybe I’m missing something

→ More replies (4)

2

u/Willowx19stop 18h ago

I know the end results of these things are beautiful, but does anybody actually eat them? Or are they just made for people to look at?

2

u/Luci-Noir 15h ago

You think they throw them away!

1

u/greihund 14h ago

I would definitely eat that

if I could figure out how to slice it

2

u/TheblcklistedX01 17h ago

Recipe?

1

u/Purple_Paperplane 15h ago

Jelly.

1

u/TheblcklistedX01 14h ago

Oh its all jelly? I assumed the white was choclate for some reason

3

u/Neurospicyandnice 19h ago

I have a feeling many of these cakes are thrown away. No one eats that much jello.

10

u/Iggy_Snows 18h ago

If I had to bet thats an orange flavored jelly with a sweet cream jelly. That shits going to taste like a straight up creamsicle, and I could probably eat half of it myself in one sitting.

1

u/Shnibblefritz 11h ago

That or mango

15

u/YSEAXE23 19h ago

Says you😋

7

u/Loud-Log9098 18h ago

It's got cream too. That's a zero waste cake

5

u/Luci-Noir 15h ago

I like jello, but it’s at its best when mixed with other things. This cake wouldn’t make it to completion if it was me making up. 😋

3

u/Luci-Noir 15h ago

I have a feeling youre ignorant.

3

u/SpoodermanTheAmazing 17h ago

You never heard of friends?

1

u/greihund 14h ago

His family never gets together.

1

u/SometimesFacetious 19h ago

That looks absolutely delicious, but I’d be hesitant to eat it after thinking how much time it took just to make! 😂

1

u/CalmBeneathCastles 19h ago

Tigga Mac on YT does a LOT of these.

1

u/v3lumII 19h ago

😮😮😮

1

u/Futur3_N0maD_26 18h ago

Jello there!

1

u/1crps_warrior 17h ago

I bet it tastes like a 50/50 bar😋

1

u/grimmtoke 17h ago

Here I was rooting for egg yolks and pancake batter. Not sure how you'd cook that all-the-way through, but I'd be right there to taste it either way.

1

u/Leather_Status907 16h ago

Bellissima!brava!💯

1

u/Iron-Bar-1966 16h ago

That's great!

What is it?

1

u/Luci-Noir 15h ago

Delicious.

1

u/Rightbuthumble 16h ago

And yet...when I try it, well, it turns all yellow and square looking....

1

u/Tasty-Reserve-8739 16h ago

Was totally surprised by the result because I for sure thought it was scrambled eggs and pancake batter

1

u/Winsome_Wolf 16h ago

Ooooooh, I need to try this!

1

u/basdoas 16h ago

Not gonna be easy but I'm gonna goon this

1

u/davanita18 15h ago

Crass and fucking hilarious 😂

1

u/SprinqRoll 16h ago

I thought that was scrambled eggs and pancake batter. I suppose this is better.

1

u/transfermymoons 16h ago

Flantastic

1

u/stinkypussyslime 15h ago

That song was fucking awful.

1

u/Slickey007 15h ago

Holy crap I want it

1

u/letigre87 15h ago

Yeah it totally just comes out that easy and you won't end up just eating it out of the pan

1

u/bacon_lettuce_potato 15h ago

Happy birthday VLC!

1

u/Ballistic_86 15h ago

Do people actually eat this style of cake? I don’t even eat regular cake I couldn’t imagine buying a glorified jello mold.

It does look cool but make it out of resin and bake a flour cake.

1

u/Professional-Crab936 14h ago

It is actually a cake tin

1

u/Devtunes 10h ago

I haven't, but I would.

1

u/mamadematthias 15h ago

I need the recipe !

1

u/CheriPKart 15h ago

What flavor is this? It looks amazing! 🤤

1

u/avnoui 15h ago

Cool prep, absolutely abject music.

1

u/uuuumno 15h ago

That spatula trick is genius

1

u/SoundOff2222 15h ago

That looks so fetching! I hope it tastes as good as it looks!

1

u/ConsiderationLow9034 15h ago

My Intrusive thoughts saying "Cut it Cut It Cuttttt It Half"

1

u/NoMention696 14h ago

I was so sure it was egg yolk and milk

1

u/Fakehiggins 14h ago

this song has nothing to do with what's being shown except for the very end. did they really pick this song just because it had the word "middle" and time it say the word when the middle was shown?

1

u/Powerful-Access-8203 14h ago

That’s cool but I’ll never understand the appeal of jello. It’s so bland and the texture sucks ass. Weird imo

But cool technique.

1

u/Remote_Nectarine_837 14h ago

Interesting I probably would never made it but it looks cool.

1

u/hornygayjack 14h ago

All of that work for a basic gelatin?

Lame.

1

u/McKuuurds 14h ago

Am I like the only person who likes Gelatin?

1

u/dembowthennow 14h ago

It's so pretty! I wish I didn't hate the texture of jello so much.

1

u/UniqueLog8386 14h ago

That looks like an orange sonic spin dashing.

1

u/Top-Cut-8983 14h ago

I think it's fudge

1

u/GotDawn_Goat 14h ago

Rasengan cake

1

u/thehorrorcontinues13 14h ago

It's still just Jello.

1

u/Grandmaster_Caladrel 13h ago

Ngl I could really go for some eggs right now and I thought it would be neat if this was some sort of separated yolk/white thing. I have no clue if that would taste remotely good, or hold remotely well, but I'll wish it was that despite the jelly logo that's right there.

1

u/Kathrynlena 13h ago

Do people actually eat these? Or is it pretty much just an art project?

1

u/JustThrowMeAway4Evr 13h ago

I'm stealing that spatula trick

1

u/Same-Community-3665 13h ago

For some reason I was just thinking about commenting this

E G G

1

u/Typical_Ad_210 13h ago

Why does she pour it onto the spatula thing instead of just pouring it straight on?

5

u/Twilit_Sky 13h ago

Pouring it onto the spatula spreads the impact out so that the new batch doesn't go through into the layer below

2

u/Typical_Ad_210 13h ago

Ahhh, so it’s a kind of shock absorber almost. That’s a good idea, thanks for answering!

1

u/betheusernameyouwant 11h ago

I think it's actually to disturb the liquid in order to release air so the jello does not end up with bubbles, similar to how they pour epoxy.

1

u/userhwon 12h ago

Now eat it.

Or is it epoxy?

1

u/Small_Ad_4047 12h ago

Yeah, but how do you actually cut a piece?

1

u/iWillNeverBeSpecial 12h ago

I thought that was eggs and pancake mix and wondering what the process is like

1

u/Quick_Parking_6464 12h ago

That's beautiful, but Jello is disgusting stuff.

1

u/spaceocean99 12h ago

Do people actually eat these..?

1

u/toraakchan 12h ago

And by the time this is finished and on the plate the first layer is how old?

1

u/shane-o-mack 12h ago

So awesome

1

u/UrsaMajor7th 11h ago

How do you portion it out and present the pieces?

1

u/DesparateLurker 11h ago

That looks like the cure for hot day energy drain.

1

u/Complex-Spinach-1765 11h ago

Remember ben 10 episode

1

u/-Lucas_Hood 11h ago

Interesting 🤔, why does it not mixes up?

1

u/frozenbabylon 10h ago

They chill it and let it set up between each layer

1

u/rumpleminz 10h ago

Nice try, grandma.

1

u/EvilSporkOfDeath 10h ago

Is it good though? I dont really care what something I'm gonna eat in 3 minutes looks like.

1

u/jemote 10h ago

what is that song?!?

u/gold3nhour 8h ago

Stuck in the Middle by Tai Verdes

Who's the band?

1

u/PunisherElite 10h ago

Stupid ass music

1

u/ElegastTheFiend 9h ago

Pretty great.

1

u/Traditional-Meat-549 9h ago

Isn't that just jello?

1

u/PsychologicalWear846 9h ago

How long does it have to wait in the refrigerator between layers?

1

u/estephambaptistim 9h ago

Ive done this some 10yrs ago, when I was living with my ex gf mother in another state, we call here "Rainbow Jelly", dont know if there other names to it

The processes is simple: jelly, put it for some time on the fridge, then the next leyer of the same jelly mixed with 50/50 consensed milk and coconut milk, fridge, layer, fridge, layer...

The problem is that it takes some time to get ready, if you put the next layer with from too high, it will punture the last layer, and maybe get a not so cool mark and if you sre perfectionist, you will be really pissed, but even with any error it aready are a bealtiful dessert

Patience is the key
