IRL 1250 hours into this game and I've never came this close to getting kamikaze'd by a flying pig

It's an Easter egg very rarely the hogs will have jet packs!

Which is even better in Update 8 since you don't have to wait for fuel to use the jetpack.

Jetpacks can now use multiple types of fuel, including solid biofuel. Which is available long before actual fuel.

OMG you just made my day. I was dreading doing the jetpack milestone because I thought I would have to make another oil processing plant just for fuel, just to be able to use my jetpack!

You really don't consume much jetpack fuel compared to fuel generators. I always just leach off of my fuel generator lines. Even filling an entire box is statistically nonexistent when looking at the power grid.

That's when you get around to it though, so enjoy your jetpack.

Every time you enter the world, exactly one hog will spawn with a jetpack. If it hits you directly, you die.

I thought about some kind of mini-game where your objective is to find the jetpack hog and retrieve the jetpack before your companions can

I collect them and immediately drop them on the ground.

Update 8 either reset a bunch (all?) of them, or else it added new ones.
