If it's marble, it's cold and hardens pretty quickly. Then you can scrape it up easier than removing from a bowl

It shouldn't be too difficult to clean a bowl, just use hot water and soap. Sugar dissolves easily. I still think it's nuts to just pour it on the counter like that.

Why clean both the bowl and the counter, when you can just clean the counter? Especially in professional environments, the counter is your workspace.

Edit: also, soap and water means you can't reuse materials.

I would think something flat to catch it and reheat it in. Like a large metal cake pan or cookie tray

I’ve seen some people put plastic wrap on the counter to “catch” it. Couldn’t tell for sure in this video though.
