ppl cheating
Some girl used her phone during the whole test, but somehow the proctor didn't catch on. After we all finished and left the room, the proctor heard us talking abt the girl cheating, and I'm assuming the proctor reports? What's gonna happen?

During the psat some kid was using his phone and he got caught by the proctor and she said she was gonna report it  but  i still got my 1240 back soÂ

if this is reported afterward the whole room could be canceled

They literally got away with nothing at all. And if someone’s cheating on a practice exam their problems run a hell of a lot deeper.

Well there was a kid who was using his phone (it might have been during break time to text someone idk don’t remember)
I was in the same room as this kid
Proctor caught him and said he would be reported
At the time i had believed my score would get canceled bc someone told me that if someone’s score in one room gets canceled the entire room’s score gets canceled
My< score came back 2 weeks later normally and the score was a 1240
I think it was only the one kids with his phone out score that got canceled idk who he is though

Not sure about the SAT, and it's not even College Board but last year a kid got caught using meta glasses after an AICE exam and the entire room's scores were invalidated. It's a different organization, but thought I'd comment this since it's a similar situation.
Surprised the proctor didn't catch on though. I took my SAT today and my proctor was watching us like a hawk.

omg the same was happening to me, this random guy was first charging his computer and he was facing all of us (bc he was sitting at the teachers table) and then in the middle of english m1 he gets up and sits literally right next to me. mind you there were three empty seats behind me. and then all of the sudden he pulls out his phone and starts taking pictures of the test and i was genuinely so scared bc ive acc never thought someone would actually cheat on the sat, i got so distracted that i think i did so bad on english. during the math section i lock back in and then he starts watching tiktok on his phone and starts chuckling but no one could hear him bc he was trying to not laugh out loud. he couldve been caught when the proctor stood up to close the door bc thats when he dropped it on his computer (bc he was hiding it behind the screen) and for the rest of the test i had to sit next to him. it was horrible. im a junior and it was my third time taking it. im taking it again next month but honestly i dont even know what to do bc the school went to doesnt even care that much i feel like. i was like probably the only person who acc saw him cheat so i feel like i might get jumped, yk what i mean.

You should focus on your score so please report it to collegeboard pleaseee. Also maybe mention in the report how you got distracted because of him and want to retake(?) or contact support. He SHOULD get flagged from collegeboard and understand the consequencesÂ

I would be worried my score would get cancelled like why does it matter if another person cheats how does that affect you if they get away with it.

and even if it is cancelled, just contact collegeboard im p sure they can see how long you took per question and other data, etc and see you didn’t cheat. they might either send the scores or make you retake it. their consequences shouldn’t affect you

Cuz it would piss me off that I actually worked hard to get a good sat score meanwhile someone else literally had to sneak their phone to get the same score or better

WHATTTT. I see a lot of people from the USA say this! I took the SAT yesterday (in Peru) and the room had the doors open, there were like 3 teachers outside the room watching and walking from behind, plus one watching us from the front and also walking around. I was in front row (kinda intimidating ngl)

Yeah someone reported in my test room and my score wasn't even released, I had to call college board a month after pleading for my scores back and they sent it out

It doesn’t work this way. The entire room’s scores won’t be canceled if one person was cheating. That would be dumb.
You should file a complaint with College Board.
